Cloud native dashboards for modern teams

Pros

Tableau does an excellent job of turning data into visuals and the dashboard design features are especially capable. It also works with multiple data sources, including cloud services which makes it very flexible.

Cons

It can be too expensive for smaller businesses or individual users. It also tends to come with a steeper learning curve compared to some competing tools.

Salesforce users feel right at home

Pros

Having this software integrated with Salesforce is a real advantage when it comes to tracking performance.

Cons

There are times when it goes down so you have to wait for it to come back online and that can be inconvenient. Thankfully, it doesn't happen very often.

analytics tailored to your business

Pros

One thing that really works well with Tableau is its premium analytics capabilities which give us all the insights we need to keep the business moving in the right direction. It gives us a much clearer picture of everything happening across our operations so reviewing performance is much more easier. We've also been able to spot areas that are underperforming and need attention without much hassle. The dashboards are user friendly and the visualizations are very clear which makes the data simple to read and understand. On top of that it includes very advanced data security features so we can dig into our business data confidently without worrying about compromising its protection.

Cons

neither I nor my teammates have had anything to complain about. It has been very comfortable to use and the features consistently respond well.

Custom views for every stakeholder

Pros

Right from the start Tableau adapted well to our specific needs and the level of customization has been a big advantage for our team. It comes packed with advanced analytics tools that have helped us take a much closer look at our business activities. The reporting features are especially useful because they give us detailed, accurate insights into each area of our operations. With the information Tableau provides making informed decisions and improving business performance has become much more manageable.

Cons

Up to this point we really have not run into any issues with it. There has not been anything we would consider a downside so far.

Visuals that make numbers sing

Pros

One thing that really stands out with Tableau is the advanced analytics as it gives us very accurate insights into how our business operations are performing. The reporting tools are also incredibly detailed which helps us monitor performance trends closely over time. On top of that the visual dashboards give us a clear real-time view of our business data and the variety of charts and graphs makes the insights much easier to interpret and understand.

Cons

Every feature has been worthwhile and easy to use. We haven't run into any issues at all and haven't had anything to complain about.

Enterprise grade reporting without the headache

Pros

It works really well for building graphs from data coming in through all the different platforms a company uses and it helps a lot with accurate reporting and visualization.

Cons

The downside is that the graphs can feel a bit outdated and not as polished-looking compared with reports made in other graphing tools.

informed decisions start with these views

Pros

Turning raw data into dashboards and reports with Tableau is very easy and that has been really helpful for visualization and better decision-making over time.

Cons

It doesn't include built-in data warehousing although I have been able to work around that by connecting it successfully to external databases.

Scale insights across massive datasets

Pros

Creating and customizing dashboards in Tableau is very easy and it's one of the best tools I have used for data visualization. It gives our internal stakeholders a single place to keep track of the metrics and items that matter most to them. It also performs really well when working with large volumes of data.

Cons

When I need to fit a large amount of data into a crosstab, the setup can feel a bit difficult and time consuming. Customer support hasn't been very strong either.

see campaign impact in detail

Pros

I really appreciated how clearly it presents the overall success of marketing campaigns in a highly visual way making the results much easier to understand at a glance.

Cons

Certain chart types can feel a bit complex to build. It took some time to fully understand the correlations although that was mostly due to user error rather than a problem with the software itself.

good for reporting

Pros

The modern design and flexible reporting are standout features and the interface seems easy to use. On top of that the community support and resource library are really strong which makes the overall experience even better.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is student access. It would be helpful if they offered a program where students or university users could verify their eligibility and get access more easily.

Unlimited output formats for any audience

Pros

Tableau stood out for how much it can do without being hard to work with. It creates colorful, client-friendly reports that are easy to understand and the variety of reporting formats seems almost unlimited. Filtering fields, dates and other data is also very easy when preparing something for client review.

Cons

Because it's such a large and powerful platform, it can feel a little intimidating when you're first getting started with it.
