“Strong analytics !!”
Pros
It has been an excellent tool for analyzing data and building visualizations. It offers an almost endless range of features which lets me work with and interpret my research data exactly the way I need. It also handles very large datasets well and produces strong summary reports that I regularly use in publications.
Cons
Getting the most out of it takes considerable training since you need time to properly learn how to use it and understand all of its important features.

“Good charts once you practice”
Pros
Getting started with this software doesn't take long. With a bit of practice and some creativity, users can create impressive, professional charts.
Cons
The calculation logic takes a while to fully grasp and apply especially features like LOD. Also certain complex charts are not as easy to build as they are in PowerBI.

“Easy to learn and master quickly”
Pros
Tableau is a very decent tool. The interface is user‑friendly, easy to navigate and quick to learn. You become comfortable with the platform quickly and can start using its powerful features without much trouble.
Cons
The final output doesn't always look as professional or visually appealing as it could. It comes across as powerful and capable but the design can feel a bit dry.

“Access historical data easily”
Pros
One thing this software does really well is keep a large amount of data over a long period of time. It's useful being able to pull up data from two years ago while also looking at current numbers at the same time.
Cons
Using it can feel a little hard and it isn't especially user friendly. Getting around the system is confusing at first and it takes a while to learn the navigation well enough to move through it comfortably.

“Great visuals for presentations”
Pros
The visualizations are excellent for presenting data and they make trends much easier to spot and explain when sharing information with directors.
Cons
It isn't the most user friendly tool to pick up and learning the programming language behind it can be pretty challenging.

“The best visuals for BI”
Pros
Without a doubt, this is the best business intelligence tool I have used. The visuals are far better especially the graphics, charts and maps.
Cons
One thing that could make it even better is offering stronger training resources for beginners.

“Useful sales insights”
Pros
Using Tableau helped me get a clearer picture of our target market and share meaningful stats with potential clients. It gave me reliable numbers and useful data that supported my day to day sales work.
Cons
Because it includes so many data points and features, it could get a little confusing when I needed to pull specific numbers. If someone is completely new to it, the learning curve can feel pretty steep at first.

“A great tool for data visuals”
Pros
Tableau has been an incredible tool for data visualization. It's quick to set up and uploading large volumes of data is easy which makes building reports much faster and more efficient.
Cons
There's a bit of a learning curve at the beginning and it can take a little time to get comfortable with the software. Still, after an hour or so, creating reports starts to feel very fast and natural.

“Good visuals”
Pros
It handles large datasets really well and the interface is user friendly enough to get around without much trouble. It also comes with powerful features and functions and the ability to create graphical presentations is one of its biggest strengths.
Cons
The learning curve feels a bit slow when you first start using it but the excellent tutorials available do help make the learning process much easier.

“Nice visuals for your data”
Pros
Using this product is not a problem and that's probably its biggest strength. It also does a really good job of letting you visualize many different kinds of data.
Cons
It would be even better if there were more visualization features available. A more simplified user experience would also make it more helpful.

“Map tools with great visuals”
Pros
Tableau packs in a huge range of impressive features and the visualizations you can build with it look genuinely stunning. The map tools are easily one of my favorite parts. I especially love using the color gradients layered over maps because they make it really clear to show differences from one location to another.
Cons
Getting comfortable with it does take some effort though. There's definitely a learning curve and some of the more advanced features need extra time before they really click. Even after using it for a few months, it still feels like I have only begun to tap into everything the platform can do.

“Eye-catching dashboards with a strong community”
Pros
Even with a basic dataset and just beginner-level Tableau knowledge, it's possible to build really striking, informative dashboards and visualizations. There are also plenty of ways to learn Tableau and keep improving, thanks to Tableau itself and its large, active user community.
Cons
At times, very simple tasks end up needing unnecessarily complicated workarounds to get done.

“Good dashboards for marketing teams”
Pros
Turning both past and current marketing results into one clear dashboard is something Tableau does really well and that's what I appreciate most about it.
Cons
My only real complaint is that the user interface feels like it could use a more modern upgrade.

“Dynamic reports that look great”
Pros
Across large media clients and teams at different professional levels, being able to present insights clearly and concisely is essential and Tableau consistently helps us do that. I also really appreciate how many different dimensions can be built into the outputs which makes the reporting feel much more dynamic and engaging.
Cons
One challenge that comes up fairly often is that some of our clients don't use it. That said it does provide a free reader that can be downloaded online pretty well for reviewing reports.

“Dashboards that work across apps”
Pros
One thing I really appreciated is how powerful Tableau is and how well it can bring together data from many apps at the same time.
Cons
The part I liked least was setting everything up especially deciding which charts or analyses should appear on the home screen since that part feels complicated.

“positive experience!”
Pros
Dashboarding is where Tableau really shines. It works with many different databases and blending data from multiple sources is pretty easy. You can build actionable dashboards quickly often in just a few days. The storytelling feature is also a nice addition.
Cons
One limitation is that it is not well suited for building standard reports especially things like financial reports. Deploying content and data sources can be tricky and keeping up with user and site maintenance takes quite a bit of effort.

“Clear visuals”
Pros
Tableau is easy to get up and running and the overall performance is impressively fast. Also it works well on mobile devices which helps a lot when checking reports on the go. On top of that the data visualization features are remarkable and make it much easier to present insights clearly.
Cons
The biggest downsides are the high cost some security concerns and weak versioning capabilities.

“Beautiful insights that pay off”
Pros
It's amazing how visually compelling data becomes with the right tool. We've uncovered inconsistencies in our shipping routes and billing information that we likely never would have spotted otherwise.
Cons
The downside is the price since it's expensive and you end up having to justify the investment again and again. It can be hard to convince management to keep it unless we continue using it to identify new cost savings.
