“Innovative software that is staying ahead of the game in CV

Pros

My company works on numerous data labeling projects across multiple softwares, and we often choose V7 for Computer Vision tasks because of how easy it is to manage workflows and conduct quality control. The user experience is streamlined, and the auto-annotation feature is a real time-saver.

Cons

Honestly, not much to point out. It's not as strong in NLP (or in specific data types like LIDAR) yet, but I think this could be a future focus for them. I wouldn't be surprised if they tackle these areas with the same level of skill if they decide to invest in them.

“Useful and performant software, very responsive support team

Pros

Darwin has proven to be an excellent tool for annotating images. We've found it easy to manage the images and annotations as well as the annotators themselves. Even though we work with images that would usually strain most services, Darwin operates quickly enough for our needs. Though there are a few niche tools we wish they had, their support team has been responsive, and it feels like our feedback is being actively worked on.

Cons

To be honest, there's not a lot to mention. If I had to point something out, I'd say the documentation could use a little refining.

The software's powerful API and tools have been invaluable for quickly generating interpolated annotations, which is critical for our unstructured data projects.

Cons

We've made some additional requests for features like immutable video metadata and better workflow management, and those are actively being worked on.

This software has the best customer service I've seen in this industry. They respond quickly to issues and keep us informed about updates, which I really appreciate.

Honestly, not much to complain about at this point.

Pros

V7 has a highly user-friendly interface. It doesn't take long to get accustomed to the tool because its not that complicated. The keyboard shortcuts have been extremely helpful in speeding up the annotation process, and the auto-annotation tool is accurate and saves a lot of time.

Cons

We're annotating image and video data for defect inspections, and V7 helps us do it faster and more accurately.
