“Completely changed how we practice law

Pros

Smokeball has completely changed how we run our practice. It is so simple and user-friendly, designed to make everyday legal tasks much simpler. From day one, we saw how it seamlessly brings all our files, matters, emails and documents together in one secure spot. So now no more searching through folders or tracking down paper trails. Everything is right at our fingertips. The customer support is also a standout. As their team is proactive, checking in regularly to make sure we are maximizing the platform. They go above and beyond with helpful training sessions tailored to real legal work.

Cons

It comes packed with great features but it can feel a bit overwhelming initially for a smaller firm or solo practice that does not need all the advanced tools right from the start.

“Huge help with filing integration

Pros

The filing integration is a huge help for lawyers. We can file documents online through Smokeball and once they are filed, they automatically save to the correct client file.

Cons

My main con is the price. I think the top-tier package which every attorney needs, is just too expensive.

Smokeball organization is my favorite part. The workflows and task lists are set up in a very user-friendly way that's easy to navigate.

The only issue I have ever run into is an occasional system lag but the support team has been extremely helpful and quick to resolve it every time.

We'd really like to have more input with the development team on what upgrades and fixes get included in each new release.

Pros

All the features are really powerful as long as you use them properly. With the right instructions, it can help with almost anything you need.

Cons

Excel does not interact well with it. It often freezes up, forcing me to restart the program. Also when I save a spreadsheet, the formulas do not always display correctly in it.

Pros

It is easy to use and connects well with the other applications I use every day. Communicating with others on the platform is also not a problem anymore.

Cons

One and only complaint is that it does not work with the newest version of Outlook yet. But it is not a huge problem, though.

The whole process is very streamlined making it incredibly easy to manage documents, emails and more. Plus I love that you can input data once and it automatically populates your forms.

When there are system glitches, it completely stops us from working because we rely on the software for everything.

I am quite impressed by how well it integrates with other apps and its robust system for tracking all the different types of client matters.

It seems to have more bugs than the other software I used before. This really slows us down and makes everything less efficient.

The file organization, templates, billing and the seamless integration with Microsoft Teams for emails and documents are all top-notch. The cloud-based encrypted technology is also a major plus.

Sometimes it runs slowly and does not work properly. Our feature requests and support tickets do not always get resolved quickly and the Archie AI makes a lot of errors.

Smokeball customer service is absolutely the best I have ever experienced. Without a doubt, its support team completely outshines every competitor.

Generating reports is not always easy. Sometimes we have to reset the specifications repeatedly just to get a report to generate correctly.

I love how easy it is to use. It is a fantastic tool for getting organized. The AI is already helpful even though it's new and the calendar is absolutely essential.

The constant updates are a bit frustrating for me. They can also slow down other programs especially if you are working with an older or slower computer.

I wish the secure portal was easier for our clients to navigate. I have gotten feedback that they find it confusing and are not sure how to use it.

“Amazing automated document creation

Pros

My main goal was to automate document creation and other software made it seem difficult. But Smokeball is built for this. I was happily stunned when I clicked on Forms and my letterhead with the client's address just appeared automatically. If it is this good right from the start, I cannot wait to see what else it can do. Also the tutorials are easy to follow and every time I call Support, the staff is exceptional. They always reassure me there is no need to rush. They seem just as excited about their product as I am to use it. It is simply amazing.

Cons

Billing can be tricky at first but the support team makes it easy to get started. The software becomes very user friendly as it almost anticipates what you need and has the next step ready. The designers clearly have experience in law, technology and creating logical interfaces.

Smokeball is an intelligent platform. The matter management is everything we wanted and keeps getting better. The AI is incredibly helpful, the training is top-notch and the customer service is on another level.

Well I noticed that for LEDS billing, I need to be able to process emails individually rather than in a grouped batch.

It is so user-friendly and we always have help and support right at our fingertips whenever we need it.

It takes a few weeks to get the mergeable forms set up but aside from that, the main challenge was just learning my way around the program. Once you get familiar with the layout, it is an amazing system!

We dont have any issues. Though we are still getting used to the new system. We have submitted a few suggestions for improvements and we are curious to see how long it takes for them to be implemented.

This software is very easy to use. I can always find what I need right away and on the rare occasion I cannot, I just make a call. It has without question, the top notch customer service.

I have had a hard time finding the best way to separate bills and track individual payments in Guardian ad Litem cases.
