“Extremely Versatile - Perhaps Too Versatile.

Pros

As I run a web development company for nearly 20 years now I understand the significance of databases in day to day processes. When I transitioned to a startup with no infrastructure,one of my first tasks was establishing a production database. Zoho Creator was the perfect solution, as it provided the flexibility and customization I needed without the need for extensive development resources. It handles most of the requirements for mid-sized businesses and offers the power of their Deluge programming language to handle special tasks that basic drag-and-drop solutions cannot. Zoho Creator's capabilities have exceeded our needs, and we've only scratched the surface of what it can do.

Cons

The documentation for Zoho Creator is decent but if I can't find answers in their knowledge base finding an expert is not easy. Their support email is not particularly helpful. While they do have a database of experienced Deluge developers available, it can be cumbersome to involve a third party. Additionally there are different versions of Zoho Creator in use so the documentation may vary depending on which version your account is on. The features certainly differ. It's an incredibly powerful product, but being a closed-source, proprietary solution means you rely on Zoho for programming-related inquiries.

I really like the fact that I can utilize it on any of my devices. That is important for my business.

Cons

I didn't like that I could not continue using the free version. Unfortunately in my line of work, income is not guaranteed.

“Good App Making Functionality

Zohos suite of products offers numerous intuitive methods to improve productivity. If Zoho doesn't offer an app for your specific needs this toolset can likely help you create one. It breaks down the functionalities utilized within Zoho, providing you with the customization and power required to make things work according to your preferences.

Cons

I would prefer more accessible and comprehensive documentation for some of the options, but overall I am happy with its intuitiveness.

“Best Database software for beginners

Pros

The things that impress me about this software are that firstly It is ideal for beginners who have limited knowledge of constructing intricate databases. Secondly It offers an excellent method of transforming excel sheets into forms and tables with data in a matter of moments. I used to rely on excel sheets, but when I switched to Zoho, it seamlessly converted my data into organized forms and tables. thirdly The variety of variables provided is outstanding. It includes every variable necessary for a small business owner, and it automatically selects the most suitable variable type from my excel sheet. Fourthly The reports are easily accessible and highly customizable. And lastly The support knowledgebase is exceptional.

Cons

The user interface could be better. It still feels clunky, feels like it is a software from the 90s. It doesn't detract from its ease of use and functionality, but it's not the software I look forward to using. The colors and overall design could be improved.

Its not very functional unless you pay for the additional features.

Pros

With Zoho Creator I can easily create iOS and Android apps by simply dragging and dropping the necessary fields. I can develop personalized apps for personal use and deploy them quickly. The programming language supported by Zoho Creator, Deluge is easy to learn and get started with.

Cons

The free version of Zoho Creator allows creating only a limited number of apps. While its easy to use, it lacks speed resulting in slower apps.

Pros

I found Zoho Creator very much user friendly and developer oriented. They have simplified the process significantly. Creating data input forms and viewing data reports for each app is extremely straightforward. The new editor even allows for custom HTML pages enabling limitless possibilities for app layouts. I also like the ability to write code for the app using Deluge which is quite efficient. The syntax is easy to understand and the error hints are usually accurate. The flexibility to communicate between forms and apps makes Zoho Creator apps highly versatile. I frequently use Schedules for tasks like trash collection, record organization and record updates based on time variables. The reports range from basic to complex pivot charts and its helpful that I can explore underlying data by clicking on each segment of the chart.

Cons

I have encountered some issues with the introduction of the new editor. I prefer using the old editor for coding and the new editor for creating custom pages (which is mandatory) but it can be confusing to remember to switch between them for different tasks. Another problem I've faced multiple times is the absence of a time only field. it only supports date-time. When I needed users to input time specifically, I had to find workarounds. The same goes for try-catch functionalities and dynamically editing field labels. Its also frustrating that most answers in the forum are only visible to the original questioner, making it almost useless for troubleshooting errors. Additionally, loading charts can take a while when the report contains a large volume of data.

Zoho Creator is an application development tool available as a standalone SaaS product or as part of the Zoho One Suite. It offers a rapid way to build applications without coding. Through a drag and drop interface, users can create forms, reports, pages and workflows. While a custom scripting language is available for more complex requirements, most users will primarily utilize the no code features. This solution is ideal for collecting data through web forms and presenting it in meaningful reports. Completed apps can be embedded on websites or accessed by users within or outside the organization. The apps created are responsive and designed to function seamlessly on desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Common use cases include data collection for surveys, tests, and asset management. With practice, users can create functional apps with triggers for email notifications and similar actions. Zoho Creator can serve as a valuable tool for agile teams as they develop proof of concept applications before transitioning to other platforms for further development.

Cons

The ease of use can be dangerous or risky in the wrong hands. Its important to maintain control over such tools because excited beginners can easily go overboard!

“Good for A Simple DB App

Pros

Its a great tool for constructing a simple database. Although it has some limitations when it comes to creating truly relational databases, it is user friendly and like all Zoho products it is competitively priced.

Cons

It lacks extensive integration with the rest of the Zoho Suite.

Using Zoho Creator I can easily develop professional applications for our business. The tools provided are excellent and enhance the overall appearance of the applications.

One of the aspects I dislike about Zoho Creator is its customer support. I am very disappointed because they don't respond promptly.

As Zohos tagline suggests it serves as an operating system for businesses. Its truly an incredible platform for running a business smoothly. Being able to solve clients business problems and assist them in building an app using the Zoho platform is an amazing experience.

Cons

If you are not a programmer, you will need to hire a certified developer. Thats the key to creating successful business apps on Zoho.

This product is superb. It saves time manpower and the integrations and API linkage are excellent.

Cons

The software requires a significant amount of coding. Its not easy for beginners but with a few attempts and some learning, you can do it ... as long as you are willing to learn some coding.

I am amazed at what our IT team has accomplished using Zoho Creator. Its mind-boggling to think that we struggled with a different program for so long when we could have had what we have now. I am excited to expand to other products and incorporate more tasks in the near future. Zoho Creator seamlessly integrates with Xero streamlining our invoicing process and saving us hours of work.

Cons

Honestly I cannot find any faults and whenever I have made requests, they have been implemented without much hassle. It has significantly increased my efficiency so I have no complaints.

The graphical interface has room for improvement. Although its easier to create apps, you still need to use their scripting language, Deluge for more customization.

Pros

We can say that Zoho Creator is the best alternative to SharePoint Access Applications. The web interface allows for quick data collection and entry and even with basic knowledge of Excel we were able to get up and running swiftly.

Cons

The user security leaves much to be desired. While you can control access to each application you cannot manage access to specific lookups and data entry forms within an application.

Zoho Creator is an outstanding software that helps in launching campaigns and capturing the attention of our target customer base. The features are relatively easy to grasp and Zoho Creator seamlessly integrates with numerous other software. Overall Zoho is a highly effective tool that simplifies campaign management.

Cons

Zoho Creator could improve its templates and offer more variety. Additionally for new users, it can be a bit difficult to grasp the software since there are not many step by step tutorials available to help you get started.

The customer care support team is unreliable. Other than that I have no valid reasons to complain about Zoho Creator because it has been beneficial for our team.

The provided templates can be used as is or customized by adding or modifying features. While it may require some patience and time to learn and create the app, it can be incredibly useful for those who can utilize it effectively.

Its not as easy as I firstly thought. Although I am skilled enough to explore and learn such software on my own it still takes time to build what you need.

Pros

I have been using this app for a couple of years now. Zoho is incredibly intuitive, allowing me to build simple applications or customize premade templates to suit my needs. However its also a powerful app builder, and if used correctly, it can handle the development of complex applications.

Cons

It would be helpful for newcomers to have documentation on how to use the software and an appendix of its features. The UI of Zoho can be complex and overwhelming at times. The results from a simple search cannot be edited. It would be great to have different "view modes" and "edit" features included.
