“Strong automated campaigns for teams”
Pros
Setting up campaigns is really useful and I can have emails automatically sent from my team as part of the campaign flow.
Cons
Well the only thing I'd change is the reply agent which could be a bit more easy to use.

“Smart prospecting with simple workflows”
Pros
Right away the platform is very easy to use because the updated smart system makes navigation really clear. Being able to simply tell the AI what I want like setting up a campaign, is something I genuinely enjoy. One of the newer additions I have liked most is Smart Prospect for leads since it lets me pull leads straight into campaigns without having to look elsewhere for material. The initial setup was also very manageable, with smooth onboarding and a customer success manager available to guide me when needed.
Cons
One area that still needs work is lead quality since the leads haven't turned into as many meetings directly as I was hoping for. I have also seen bounce rates with Smart Prospect that feel higher than usual compared with other sources such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator. On top of that it could do a better job with additional filtering options to narrow into more specific ICPs which would likely help improve lead quality and lead to more booked meetings.

“Strong automation for outbound efforts”
Pros
Their automation and API capabilities are outstanding as honestly they are among the best available for outbound automation on the market.
Cons
The UI could be better. It can feel a bit overwhelming at times and it's occasionally slow.

“Great value for price”
Pros
One of the best parts is the value for the price especially since I can connect a large number of email addresses without any trouble. The integrations are another big plus and tools like Clay work especially well with it.
Cons
It's clearly designed with full automation in mind but ideally the manual step inside a sequence would be a bit more powerful.

“offer dependable support”
Pros
Having everything in Smartlead gathered in one place is a big plus. The way the metrics are presented is genuinely helpful and the support team has been outstanding which gives me more confidence when building campaigns. I also like the account health monitoring because it makes everything much more visible at a glance as I can quickly tell whether campaigns are performing well, whether accounts are working properly, whether domains are set up correctly and whether the copy is written well.
Cons
One frustrating issue comes up when I am writing copy or building email sequences. If I type too fast and hit save sometimes the system doesn't save quickly enough and the work doesn't get saved at all which is very annoying. With stronger technical infrastructure and more optimization on the backend, I think it could become an even more powerful and faster application.

“Strong warmup with mailbox access”
Pros
Adding email accounts is easy, the custom warmup flow can be adjusted exactly how I want it and having access to such a large pool of Microsoft and Google mailboxes is a big plus.
Cons
The Smartinfra option doesn't really offer much value for bulk mailers.

“Support delays cause frustration”
Pros
It is simple enough and I can definitely see the potential. It seems like this could really simplify and automate my cold email outreach so I went in with a lot of optimism about what it might do.
Cons
Right now the biggest problem has been the customer support. On the very first day of launching my first campaign, a warning popped up. I contacted support and after the initial reply from one agent, they disappeared for more than 30 minutes even though I kept asking if they were still available. I eventually ended that chat and asked for someone else but the AI chatbot routed me back to the same person and the exact same thing happened again. It wasn't until the third attempt that I finally got timely and useful help. Then today, three days later, another warning appeared and once again support left me waiting for over half an hour. I ended up using Google AI to figure out the fix myself because I just don't have hours to waste waiting around. At this point I'll be monitoring how this campaign performs very closely before deciding whether this company is worth sticking with.
