Simple start with comprehensive features

Pros

Getting started is simple and the features are comprehensive. My clients range from very small to large and this works for all of them. The best thing is that a small business can be fully operational in just minutes, all you need to do is just link the bank account, pull in transactions and reconcile quickly. I mean this speed is pretty important when working with tight budgets. It is also highly scalable, growing effortlessly alongside your clients or your own firm. Overall it is an essential tool.

Cons

The only part I have trouble with is setting up the automatic bank feeds. When a client has a very large number of transactions like an online store that processes over $100,000 per month, the system starts to run very slowly. A couple of times I thought it had completely frozen but it was just moving very slowly, probably because it was trying to handle all that information at once.

Key to our company's growth

Pros

AccountingSuite has been key to our companys growth, helping us manage inventory and monitor cash flow much more effectively. Plus the support team provided incredible support, from teaching us the basics to tailoring the software for our specific requirements. It outperforms every other invoicing program we have tested. So we give this company a perfect 10/10.

Cons

I would not call it a downside but there is just so much this platform can do that it takes a fair bit of time to learn everything.

Outperforms Quickbooks on functionality

Pros

In terms of pure functionality, AccountingSuite outperforms QuickBooks Online in most areas. While the interface is not as sleek, it handles my clients needs more effectively than QBO and does so at a more affordable price. Plus switching from QBO was easy too and the support team is very responsive.

Cons

Finding your way around the interface is not pretty easy at first though it is really more about the look and feel than a functional problem.

A solid financial management solution

Pros

I think it is a solid solution for financial management, cost tracking and sales tax compliance.

Cons

Packed with powerful features

Pros

I have used other online accounting programs that required extra add-ons to meet basic needs. But AccountingSuite is packed with features right out of the box and has particularly powerful inventory tools compared to its competitors. Plus the ability to easily set up a sandbox for testing and training is a fantastic feature and I have to mention that their support is excellent.

Cons

My only hiccup was during the migration from a different platform but the team stuck with me until we found a working solution.

Perfectly tracks all my products

Pros

I use this program to manage all the products I sell. Plus I love that I can instantly check how many of any item I have left. The status tracking is also a lifesaver so if I cannot find an item on my shelf, I can check if it's already on order. And by keeping perfect track of my inventory, I can make smarter decisions about what to buy next using real facts instead of just guessing. Creating sales orders for my customers is also very simple to do right inside the system.

Cons

Since I dont have an accounting background, it's taken me some time to get comfortable with all the features. That said there are parts I do not use yet that are not important or useful for my current needs.

user friendly and easy to learn

Pros

The program is user friendly and easy to learn. Also the team was great to work with when customizing it for our unique requirements. The help desk is amazing too and typically resolves my issues within 15 to 30 minutes.

Cons

It's missing some common accounting reports you'd expect like the average number of days it takes customers to pay their invoices.

The best customer support available

Pros

AccountingSuite customer support is the best. They actually call you back and are very patient, walking you through the setup process step-by-step. Overall I had a a completely different experience from another program I used before.

Cons

The tax-line mapping does not match up with our business returns. Right now it connects to personal 1040 line items which is confusing since this is primarily business software. From what I understand the team is currently addressing this problem.

Very affordable for large clients

Pros

The best advantage is the cost as it is very affordable, especially for a large client managing numerous accounts. The support team is also wonderful as they are great to collaborate with and have helped our team immensely.

Cons

You can tell many features are still in active development. The support team has been great though, working closely with us to add and adjust features as we go. It feels to me like a platform that's steadily improving and has great potential.

Accessible from anywhere globally

Pros

I love that I can access this software from anywhere globally. It is very user friendly and whenever I have a problem, their team is immediately on it, guiding me to a solution.

Cons

One thing I noticed is that the process for setting up e-commerce integrations feels overly complicated and involves too many steps.

challenging switch from quickbooks

Pros

The pricing is great. I can consolidate several clients financial data into one place. The support is excellent too and the built-in training videos are helpful. The TestCompany file is a brilliant way to learn the ropes and everyone can use it. It is also a powerful tool for handling inventory and managing product assemblies.

Cons

It operates very differently from QuickBooks and is not as user friendly for the average business owner. I have found it challenging to get my clients comfortable with switching to this platform.

Simple to use and competitive

Pros

It is simple to use and offer service at a very competitive price, providing similar value to much more expensive online solutions.

Cons

The General Ledger report should show the Memo field from billing entries right on the main screen. Plus having to write the same memo on a different tab seems repetitive and creates extra work at the end of the year. This forces us to export the report and manually add all the descriptions to make it complete. Also the system should be designed to collect all memo fields from bills, receipts, deposits and journals in one single place.

An unattractive and inefficient interface

Pros

AccountingSuite is more budget-friendly than many alternatives I come across. Also it is not owned by Intuit, allows tabbed browsing, supports cannabis businesses, can handle multi-entity financial reporting and has robust inventory tracking features.

Cons

I find the interface unattractive and navigation is inefficient, requiring too many clicks for basic tasks. Plus it crashes often and some menu items randomly appear in Russian. I also noticed that some basic functions like copy-paste do not work without browser extensions, reports look unprofessional and bank feeds require manual updates one by one instead of auto-syncing. In short my overall experience was very frustrating.

Crashes constantly and freezes

Pros

It includes all the fundamental tools we'd expect from a reliable accounting platform.

Cons

The platform crashes constantly, regardless of the browser or feature I am using. Also pages frequently freeze, creating major disruptions to my workflow.

Saves time at my events

Pros

I love being able to use the software on-site at my events. It saves me so much time when processing sales at the end of a busy weekend. Plus the interface is much more user-friendly than QuickBooks.

Cons

We have come across persistent software glitches. I mean it is frustrating when features that previously worked suddenly stop functioning until the developers release a fix.
