Pros

As a rapidly expanding global hotel company, citizenM deals with various currencies, GAAP standards, ownership percentages, mergers, etc. CCH Tagetik simplifies budgeting, consolidation, and reporting complexities.

Cons

The solution can be tailored to customer preferences, offering many possibilities. This requires detailed system knowledge or external consultants for configuration adjustments. We faced challenges with the transaction matching module's connectivity (API vs. FTP), but Tagetik's support was excellent.

Cons

Tagetik review 2019

Pros

After implementing Tagetik, our first budgeting year showed a radical improvement in our workflow, data speed, user-friendliness, and reliability. Quarterly closings and consolidations became much cleaner and faster.

Cons

The original project was complex regarding revenue generation, cash flows, and intercompany declarations. We had to revert to using Excel modeling outside the system, making budgeting and forecasting more time-consuming and less simple.

Our experience started in 2006 and in September 2007 we have had the first go-live.

Pros

Flexible, scalable, easy reporting with ad-hoc creation opportunities for each contributor, a single database for management data, statutory consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and the ability to view economic and financial data for each project through hierarchies.

Cons

Sometimes it lacks flexibility, and you have to adapt your needs to its structure. I'd like more opportunities for different sensitivities without creating separate scenarios.

I enjoy making reports autonomously using the Excel interface, which is simple and intuitive. The process cockpit is also very helpful for managing processes.

Our company benefits from having a unique chart of accounts, the ability to simulate different budgets and scenarios, and comprehensive financial planning.

Cons

With our version (4.3.2), printing books to PDF isn't possible, and we don't have a dashboard. We're also limited by the report matrix's flexibility.
