Pros

I'm really impressed with how easy it is to use this program, and the support staff is absolutely awesome.

Cons

I wish the training classes were less expensive considering what we pay for the program and the support. Since we have a large inventory, it would be great if the system could accommodate more data.

Pros

The integration with GrainTrac is very important for us since we have a significant amount of daily activity in GrainTrac. The good thing is CenterPoint allow us to do that.

Cons

Generating financial statements in a custom format is not possible. This is restriction and it annoys me.

CenterPoint Accounting simplifies life for all staff across different departments. It streamlines the accounting experience, especially for those who may not be the most proficient with numbers. The standout feature of CenterPoint Accounting is its ability to quickly and accurately calculate the numbers we need on a regular basis, and it allows us to view or export them exactly as needed. Accounting can be challenging, but CenterPoint Accounting makes it simple.

Excellent Customer Service and Support!

Pros

The Customer Service, Support Team, and Sales Team are all excellent! Whenever I make a call, I can speak with someone right away without being placed on hold for long periods or being transferred multiple times. All the team members are knowledgeable, and if they are unsure, they will conduct research and quickly provide me with the answers. The software is fairly easy to navigate and offers many options.

Cons

At times, the software can be quite slow. While the reporting is decent, there is room for improvement.

Pros

Over the years, I've used this product a lot, and the upgrades have consistently met the needs of our construction company.

Cons

We experienced a huge gap in upgrades, which led us to use a different software temporarily. However, during the time we used it, the software was great.

Don't! Just don't purchase it!

Pros

I prefer it when the software is left undisturbed so that I can operate it as intended. When it's functioning properly, it provides a comprehensive overview of our company and is relatively user-friendly.

Cons

After purchasing Center Point version 9, we used it without any issues for a couple of years. Then, Red Wing introduced a 30 day trial on the program to encourage customers to update. We didn't need to update, but once the trial was installed on our computer, it completely messed it up. After contacting the company, they initially claimed not to know why the trial caused the issues. Later, they suggested it was something within our computer. We ended up paying a significant amount to a computer company to fix the problem, and they confirmed that it was indeed the trial that caused the mess. I feel compelled to warn others against purchasing from this company to spare them the huge inconvenience we've faced for the past six weeks. It would have been much simpler for Red Wing to send a notice of a new version via mail or email instead of completely disrupting the system we had purchased from them. Each time I called, their response was simply to upgrade.

CenterPoint Accounting makes your job easier!

Pros

The customer service at CenterPoint Accounting is simply amazing! When I call, I'm greeted by a person, not a machine and they are friendly and genuinely keen to resolve any issues or answer any questions I may have. The software is easy to learn and understand on its own.

Cons

I can't think of anything negative about the vendor or product. My only suggestion is to include a report writing program that allows users to select the information they want to include in a report.

Pros

I'm still in the process of manually inputting information, and I'll have to let you know about the positives once I complete it. Right now, I'm just frustrated with the whole thing.

Cons

Redwing has made significant changes that differ from what I'm accustomed to, so I'm unsure if there are any positives at this point.

Everyone should use this!

Pros

Our previous software was discontinuing the payroll feature, which make us to search for a new solution. We thought it would be great to have accounting and payroll combined instead of separate systems. Our boss gave us the go-ahead to purchase at the last moment. Although our server prevented RedWing from uploading our data, but the support team was quite helpful in assisting us with the setup. We absolutely love this program. It's very simple and easy to use. With just a click of the mouse, you can filter anything. I'm thrilled that this program combines accounting and payroll, as it makes work more enjoyable and our boss is pleased with our increased efficiency. Taking the training classes also helped us understand the capabilities of this software better. The RedWing associates are friendly and helpful, even when we don't fully understand something. They can remotely assist and demonstrate right then and there. I wish every business used this fantastic program!

Best software that happened to us

Pros

Learning this software was very easy, thanks to the great support team and informative training seminars. We transitioned from a system where we had to manually calculate our financial reports for six months to one that provides us with any type of report we want.

Cons

I can't think of any cons. Since they upgraded the system to provide an option to close the whole program or not, I haven't encountered any issues.

CENTER POINT ACCOUNTING REVIEW

Pros

I really like the drill-down feature and the ease of correcting transactions. The reporting options are also excellent, as each report can be customized.

Cons

The thing that I don't like is that Every transaction requires a vendor. It causes inconvenience.

Centerpoint after using Champion for 16 years

Pros

It's fantastic that I can have several screens open at once. Being able to check off bills to pay instead of manually typing them in is a time-saver. Payroll is now easier and quicker. It's much more convenient to pay bills with credit cards. The drill-down feature makes it easy for us to edit transactions (something I couldn't do with Champion).

Cons

Trying to migrate from Champion was a complete disaster. Eventually, I had to migrate vendors, customers and employees because the data got corrupted somehow. It took weeks of effort, and I was disappointed with the "time sheets" functionality in payroll as it doesn't work with overtime, so rendering them was useless for me. In Champion, I could print the payables journal for any date, but that's not possible in Centerpoint. There are too many areas where you can click to find information without any indication on the screen; you just have to know it. Additionally, there are too many places where you have to set defaults for the same thing, such as terms for customer payments. It's not possible to get a simple check register without including customers.
