Chargeover review

Pros

The thing I like the most about this software is that it has all the features needed.

Cons

It's not as easy to use as I expected. I think it should be improved further.

Good Value for Money

Pros

At an affordable price, it integrates with QuickBooks, Authorize.net, PayPal and Slack which is amazing.

Cons

The User Interface is not very powerful. It doesn't offer the option to edit PDF receipts and invoices, and I think that the reporting feature could have better filters.

Top Notch Software with Customer Service to Match

Pros

The user experience is seamless, especially for our work as we work with families facing challenges like dyslexia and ADHD. So the great user experience is of utmost importance to us, and Charge Over checks all the boxes. On the backend, I like the metrics and flexibility in using the invoicing feature. I've tried other payment processors but always had to find workarounds. Charge Over has everything I need and more. I particularly love the option to charge a surcharge for credit card fees and process eCheck payments.

Cons

The only thing I feel is missing is video tutorials that guide new users on navigation and when to seek help for customized options. To my surprise and delight, they actually provide these tutorials.

Great Software, Easy to Use

Pros

ChargeOver is amazingly simple and easy to navigate. It includes everything we need in an auto-billing software, and the customer support is outstanding. We suggested including an invoice due date on the PDF invoice for our customers due to our net-15 payment terms, and ChargeOver made it happen with the next software update. We're highly impressed! Additionally, we like that ChargeOver automatically sends emails to customers for card expiration reminders, declined payments and requests to update payment information. This saves us a lot of time on the administrative side and removes the stress of remembering to do it ourselves.

Cons

ChargeOver has some settings that require contacting your account administrators to activate. For example, although ChargeOver offers the option to display custom fields on invoices, when I filled out the field, it didn't appear on our invoices. It was only after I reached out to our ChargeOver representative that I learned we had to request the activation of these custom fields. The positive aspect is that ChargeOver allows you to customize your software experience and your customers experience, you just need to ask!

The right solution for my small business

Pros

The cost is a flat fee, which provides great functionality and value. The data migration team has been excellent, and the software integrates with numerous services. The interface is clean and intuitive.

Cons

There are one or two things I would like to add, but I've been assured that the dev team has been notified and may offer a fix in the future.

Huge relief to FINALLY fine automatic recurring billing that works

Pros

It's really easy to use and navigate between customers, screens, subscriptions and payment methods. Integration with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is essential for us, and it works quite well, although not flawlessly. The advanced functionality, such as sales taxes and discounts for ACH payments, is highly beneficial. Most importantly, it works without bugs (unlike my previous software) and handles recurring payments, recurring invoices and reminders for customers who pay manually online or by check. It also supports features like discounts, pro-rated charges, and invoices containing both installment payments and regular recurring subscriptions.

Cons

Integration with QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't always work perfectly, especially for sales tax and crediting back to client accounts.

Perfect Solution to Avoid Accounts Receivable

Pros

The automated email reminders and the ability for customers to change their billing information themselves are incredibly helpful.

Cons

Poor mobile accessibility can be a deal breaker for many, and regrettably, it's quite bad. I believe they are working on it, and their customer support is incredible. However, I mentioned this issue to them about 6 months ago, and it's still not resolved.
