Easy to use accounting tool

Pros

From an experienced perspective, I like the batch processing, locked transactions and audit trail. This simple and easy to use accounting product also offers easy G/L and full module integration.

Cons

In terms of ease of use, the graphics and click areas result in clunky functionality. The payroll reporting should provide more detailed information to ensure that quarterly reports can be completed in case Aatrix is unavailable.

I am not fond of it

Pros

The software supports multiple users and currencies. The customer support is excellent and they quickly respond to our inquiries. Their remote desktop software is great for controlling your machine and quickly resolving issues.

Cons

The code quality is poor, requiring frequent updates and fixes. Unfortunately, these updates often involve a full 3GB .iso installation. Since our operations span the globe, I have to transfer these large iso files over slow, high-latency and frequently interrupted VSAT connections. There are frequent code-generated end-of-year imbalances, which requires yet another upgrade. Additionally, there are hardcoded SA access privileges for database queries, and the SA password is publicly available, making it easy for anyone to hack into competitors' databases. Until the last round of installations, there were careful, undocumented tricks required for installation.

We Are a Happy Customer!

Pros

We have been using CMS since at least 1987, and we haven't encountered any issues yet. It's easy to work with.

Cons

The support is amazing, although we occasionally need to contact them. The entire team is fantastic to work with.

Customer support is amazing!

Pros

The Support Staff is exceptional. Every time I've needed assistance, they have been there and successfully resolved my issues or answered my questions.

Cons

Some of the reports could use improvement. Specifically, the payroll reports should focus more on the information required for quarterly reporting. It would be beneficial to have the option to keep more than one accounting year open at a time.

Denali Business is user-friendly

Pros

This product is amazingly user friendly. The support team is the best and they always return my calls on the same day.

Cons

I wish there were more options available for customizing reports. The programming for creating custom reports myself hasn't been as simple as I thought.

Not the best!

Pros

I believe this software has the potential to be highly valuable. It's a significant improvement from the days of DOS.

Cons

It's not possible to go back and review past transactions easily. The software has internal coding that must be learned to navigate easily.

Every day we learn something new

Pros

The integration of all the packages and the customizable nature of the software are impressive. I also like that I can generate reports with as much or as little detail as I need. The financial statements, trial balances and audit trails are valuable tools for identifying any posting errors.

Cons

I have reservations about the payroll package, particularly the payroll reports. I am accustomed to more user friendly payroll reports for managing payroll taxes, and I don't like having to rely on an external payroll company to easily access the information I need. While I can figure it out without the external company, it's 1000 times faster with their assistance. However, considering the additional cost of the external company, I doubt my employer would even consider it. On the other hand, the customer service provided by Cougar Mountain is exceptional, and I have no complaints in that regard.
