“swift customer follow-ups”
Pros
Really solid customer follow-up overall with fairly quick responses. Appointments are scheduled within the expected time slots and the agreed dates are respected.
Cons
One drawback is that payslips are created too early, before the total monthly hours that haven't yet been worked are actually calculated which makes it premature to issue the payslip.

“Poor service quality”
Pros
Honestly, I see zero advantages here, the price may be low, but the service quality is very poor and every task takes me at least ten times longer than it should, which is frustrating.
Cons
After five months, my company still wasn't created even though Dougs verbally promised it would be done within two. They reply only every week or so and sometimes I wait a month for an answer. Contracts were drafted missing key asset lists, invoices lacked clear details and the whole process has been full of unnecessary complications.

“Need accounting knowledge”
Pros
The "Libert" package is attractive at $550 and includes the annual report, but I have to prepare the approval decisions, meeting minutes and other documents myself, which adds extra work.
Cons
There's no personalized follow-up and some staff don't seem to know everything they should. It can't handle disbursements and when liquidation came, they suddenly charged 700, a price that was never mentioned in the agreement.

“Mixed pricing and limited support”
Pros
The Liberte package is fairly appealing at EUR550 including the annual review especially if you are comfortable preparing the approval decisions, annual meeting minutes and similar documents yourself.
Cons
The downside is the lack of personalized follow-up and some contacts seem to have gaps in their knowledge. It also does not support expense disbursement management. Another unpleasant surprise came at liquidation, when the package increased to EUR700. That price was not shown anywhere especially not in the engagement letter.

“Low cost but no real accounting support”
Pros
It costs less than hiring a traditional accountant since everything is handled online.
Cons
There is absolutely no follow-up and no real expertise made available on their side. In practice, it feels like using accounting software rather than actually having an accountant and that can end up being very expensive. I went through a tax audit because of their lack of support and I'm now going to file a complaint with the professional body for failure to provide proper advice.

“Simple app, absent support”
Pros
The online accounting application is simple to use.
Cons
Dougs feels to accounting the way some IT service firms feel to tech: impersonal and purely transactional. The company comes across as being run by young people who don't really have a sense of customer service. Everything is handled automatically through their online platform but when there's a problem, a special case, or you actually need advice, don't expect anything from Dougs. They promise to call you back and then don't. You keep getting passed from one contact person to another. And if you request a specific service, they take your payment first and after that you practically have to beg them to deliver what you asked for.
