“Exactly What We Needed

The software is intuitive, but the training options and customer support are excellent.

Cons

It is essential that data remains consistent and thoroughly clean; otherwise, there is a risk that the resulting reports could be somewhat distorted or misleading.

“Find payroll solutions elsewhere

Pros

It is excellent for allocating to multiple funding sources. As a grant-funded non-profit, we need to separate shared costs, which Financial Edge handles very well.

Cons

The payroll module is, by far, the worst part of Financial Edge. Short of entering each employee's time manually each day, there was no way to keep daily time records. Time was entered by the pay period manually, which was very labor-intensive, and we had difficulty importing time records as FE didn't offer a time-keeping solution.

Pros

This software is incredibly user-friendly and simple to use, making it accessible for everyone on our team. Implementing it was easy, and we encountered no significant hurdles during the process. Additionally, the customer support is readily available and extremely helpful, ensuring that any issues we face are promptly addressed and resolved.

Cons

As our company has grown, we have become accustomed to finding workarounds to use because of the integration with Raiser's Edge. Attributes in Raiser's Edge have helped us many times.

“Simple to Use

Pros

We use both Financial Edge and Raiser's Edge, and both are set up the same way. It's very intuitive and easy to search for an invoice. I like how quickly I can access a recently viewed vendor.

Cons

Sometimes, when the same vendor sends more than one invoice and the invoice numbers are just slightly different, F.E. warns me that it might be a duplicate invoice when it's not; the numbers are just similar to each other. The online support link from inside FE does not open.
