Keyboard shortcuts for journal entries would save time and make the process smoother. It would keep me from clicking through multiple menus each time.

For a one-time, very reasonable payment, I got a powerful double-entry accounting system with a simple interface. As a CPA with 30+ years of experience, I've tried many tools, but LedgerLite impressed me because I could start right away and create all the reports I needed. Importing/exporting CSV files works well with other tools. At first, the trial balance report confused me, but I sent a request and they fixed it the next day.

Cons

I wish it had more features like bigger programs, but honestly, I like that it stays simple and easy to use.

It's easy to use, and I can correct mistakes without any trouble. I trust it with my data, and it feels secure. The software is flexible for reports, and I can easily convert data into Excel. I've managed a foreign-funded project with it for three years and love being able to create a custom chart of accounts.

The trial balance can be confusing. When I pick a period, it shows the full balance from the start instead of just that timeframe, which makes it tricky. I wish it gave balances for specific dates more accurately.

One thing I wish it had is the option to upload our company logo and customize invoice headings. Also, invoice uploads should work directly with PDFs instead of needing conversions.
