stays aligned with utilities

Pros

They keep improving the product so it stays in step with utility companies and it's clear they really understand the market and the challenges that come with this sector.

Cons

The billing side of the industry is still pretty old-school overall. Some utilities are even relying on Excel for calculations so there's definitely a broader mindset shift that still needs to happen.

helpful support, unreliable rule changes

Pros

Whenever invoice-related changes or setup adjustments are needed, the MaxBill team is consistently ready to help and work through them to make sure the invoicing outcome is as good as possible.

Cons

At the same time when changes are requested through the Commercial Rules, a few updates seem to get overlooked and sometimes certain fields are modified without being requested. That ends up hurting confidence in the accuracy and credibility of the data.

Pros

It makes invoicing much more manageable since we no longer have to handle everything by hand.

Cons

At times our reports get changed even when we haven't asked for any updates.

Pros

Beyond the core day-to-day features, MaxBill is uniquely adaptable when business conditions change quickly.

Cons

Honestly my only complaint is that I wasn't the one who built it.. because if I had, it probably wouldn't have turned out this good.

flexible platform with proven expertise

Pros

The flexibility, wide product capabilities and Lognet Systems' experience are all strong points.

Cons

We recently transitioned to a new version and since the previous one was highly tailored to our business needs, it took some time to bring the new version up to the same level of quality and functionality. We're almost there now.

flexible for complex needs

Pros

Built for complex environments this software comes with a wide range of options so it can support just about every business requirement.

Cons

It takes a lot of customization to get everything in place and common technologies like ADFS aren't included out of the box so they have to be developed separately.

Pros

It brings a wider range of services together in a single product which makes things much more unified. The flexibility is also a big plus.

Cons

I'd like to see more attention given to on-premise solutions while still continuing to support and maintain the cloud offering.
