“Identify the modules you need and focus on that”
Pros
The multi-company functionality is outstanding. This software is designed to boost productivity across financial and project deployments, facilitating seamless information sharing. It's scalable and particularly suitable for industries like professional services, government contractors, and distribution.
Cons
It requires substantial hardware resources, which might overwhelm small businesses. However, investing more here can yield significant rewards.

“Have used Dynamics SL for around 8 years. Very comfortable with it and pretty easy to get use to.”
Pros
Reporting features are excellent. I rely on weekly reports for tasks like payroll entries and commission data, finding the lookup screens in modules like Accounts Receivable and General Ledger direct and informative.
Cons
Different modules don't communicate with each other, necessitating multiple open windows to complete tasks. This occasionally slows down our servers and leads to crashes.

“Tough to use, makes reconciliations a nightmare”
Pros
One of the greatest benefits of Dynamics SL is its seamless integration with Excel, making tasks like journal entry copying and pasting highly efficient. It offers comprehensive subledger support and direct multi-company reporting, ideal for project-based accounting.
Cons
Dynamics SL frustrates me most with its handling of cash management and bank reconciliations. There's inadequate control over periods, leading to accounting confusion. The system isn't user-friendly, even after a year of experience. It relies heavily on third-party support, adding to consulting fees. The user group isn't very helpful either, suggesting superior organizations may use different software. Mastering the system's "hidden tricks" is valuable, but most users, even with an accounting background, need extensive training.

“Dynamic SL Review”
Pros
Dynamics SL provides essential tools for managing service dispatch functions. Having used it since 2005, it remains one of the best software choices, particularly for combining service dispatch modules with robust accounting capabilities. Local dealer support has been instrumental in our long-term implementation success.
Cons
It hasn't kept up with modern technology. I'm unsure how much Microsoft invests in research and development for Dynamics SL. Accessing information across various screens is cumbersome when it should be easily accessible with a click. Service invoices aren't integrated with payroll, inventory, or purchasing, and there are frequent software bugs requiring third-party fixes.

“Microsoft Dynamics SL”
Pros
I like its integration with Office 365. While Microsoft Dynamics focuses on Sales, Marketing, and Service sectors, SL's strength lies in professional services. It's relatively easy to learn and navigate, offering robust data and reporting tools. While not as flexible as Salesforce, it's still a compelling choice.
Cons
Its adaptability.

It's dependable, flexible, and integrates smoothly with nearly any other solution in our IT setup, offering an intuitive experience.

“MS Dynamics Review”
Pros
My experience with this platform has been mixed. While it handles GL accounting well, its project management functionalities are limited. The system's reports are basic, requiring significant external data manipulation and custom report creation. However, it offers good value for the price.
Cons
Project management capabilities are severely limited, canned system reports are restrictive, and handling multi-currency financials is challenging without third-party solutions.
