“Made a huge and positive impact

Their team is simply the best. Everyone we have interacted with has been professional, knowledgeable and truly dedicated to making sure our onboarding process goes smoothly.

Cons

So far there have not been any issues I have come across. At first their process seemed more suited to SaaS businesses but they handle professional services exceptioanlly well too.

They ask a lot of questions which at times annoys but their platform is really user-friendly.

I wish we could directly contact the CPAs to verify that our books are accurate.

Pros

The service is simple to use, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and quick to respond whenever we have any issues. Our books are in great shape every month and they always ask insightful questions if they are ever uncertain.

Cons

Nothing major. However I feel like they could offer more personalized tax advice at times and unfortunately, they do not provide services for Canada.

“Perfect for startups

I appreciate the hands on service but I also love that they only reach out when necessary.

“No longer worried about my books

Pros

The main advantage is how easily it integrates with our current tools. Pilot links directly to our QuickBooks system and takes care of everything from there. They have also been very proactive in identifying problems that needed attention some of which were significant and had previously been overlooked by us.

Cons

One main issue we have faced is that one of our service providers requires a personal SSN for accountant access which does not align with Pilot's system. It is a small inconvenience though but we just upload the statement manually each month when it sends us a reminder.

Pros

Pilot consultative sales approach made me confident in choosing it for our accounting and tax needs. The onboarding was seamless and their online portal is visually appealing, easy to use and makes collaborating with our dedicated bookkeeper effortless.

Cons

Up until now I have not noticed any issues to the platform. Pricing is clear but it increases with company size and transaction volume so I am curious to see where we stand as we grow. For now it is great value for money.

Pros

Pilot has a knowledgeable sales team. They are responsive, and their system integrates well with QuickBooks which makes our reports and books standardized and portable. The question portal is great for addressing the needs of small startups.

Cons

I feel like it would be helpful to have more visibility into what expenses are going into which categories directly from the portal rather than having to dig through QuickBooks.

Pros

The income and expenses comparison feature is the most valuable as it helps us set the benchmark for our next marketing target. We have also integrated it with Semper Reservations for seamless revenue flow.

Everything seems to be running smoothly for us for now.

“Nearly perfect

Pros

Bookkeepers at Pilot are great even though it is powered by AI, the real work still requires human input. Plus their support team is superb as they are quick to respond whenever we contact them and fix errors. The system is email-based and has a relatively simple web interface that makes managing exceptions easy with books generally delivered on time.

Cons

Customer support aside from bookkeeping is quite poor. I tried getting it to handle our company tax return but after six weeks of no responses and receiving the same questionnaires over and over, I gave up and used a regular accountant who was cheaper, faster and more responsive. Plus it charges a premium but offers the worst customer service for tax filings.

Pros

Accounting, bookkeeping and taxes are not areas I have time to worry about anymore. Pilot lets me put the whole process on autopilot effectively.

Cons

The dashboard is fairly basic and I would surely like it more to have more account features like adding users and setting up 2FA.

It makes it really easy for me to see the key things I need to focus on which clears my mind so I can concentrate on what I do best to help my business grow.

Nothing wrong that I have noticed so far with the software but a quick accounting and tax guide would be helpful.

Pros

As I am running a startup, it is a huge relief not to worry about managing our books. The team is really helpful and explains things clearly. The monthly burn rate estimates are also quite useful and easy to add to our board presentations.

Cons

My only complaint is that the categories can be at times difficult to navigate. As a startup we have some random expenses, so having a general category to cover these would be useful.

Pros

Pilot made everything simpler by reorganizing our Chart of Accounts. The team we worked with was extremely knowledgeable and the financial controllers helped set up our processes to scale our business.

Cons

The onboarding process takes some time to set up properly it is a one time thing. Also I hope it can authenticate all account connections monthly so that any changes in credentials are not overlooked.

Pros

There is a lot to like about it such as seamless integrations, excellent customer support and worry-free automation.

Cons

It is not affordable but for us it is worth every penny.

Pros

Pilot allows us to focus on our business without stressing about bookkeeping. Our team highlights key transactions or trends we need to be aware of, so we can act fast and get an overview of our financial status at a glance. I trust Pilot because it gives me peace of mind knowing our books are in order and we have a team of professionals to guide us. Finance can be overwhelming but this tool makes it understandable and actionable.

Cons

The portal for classifying transactions and adding notes for unrecognized vendors or categories is getting better but at times it can still be a little buggy.

“Saves a lot of time

Pros

We use Pilot for our bookkeeping and absolutely love it. It has made handling taxes so much easier. Plus I love how it links our accounts and reduces the workload when it comes to generating monthly reports.

There is not really anything I dislike about it. At the end of the day it makes our jobs much easier.

“Worth the cost, though expensive

Pros

We switched from Bench to Pilot and are so happy with the results. It is much more professional, provides better customer service and delivers more accurate bookkeeping.

Cons

The time between month end and receiving our books is pretty long. Also we do not get them until around the 25th of each month.

Pros

It is easy to use, provides simple to understand reports, synchronizes accounts and even warns us if there are double payments, helping us avoid losing money.

Cons

I do not have any negative feedback to share as it is a fantastic app.
