The only downside, in my opinion, is the price. While it is a comprehensive solution suitable for businesses of all sizes, the cost can be too high for small businesses.

I make use of shortcut keys for reporting, voucher entry, modification, bank reconciliation and other tasks. It also serves as a solution for tax and statutory reporting which allows me to generate MIS as per management's requirements. Payroll functionality is also integrated into this accounting software.

The customer support is a bit poor, and there are additional costs for customization that could be avoided.

It would be great if we could configure the mail settings for sending reports once instead of manually setting the current date for voucher entry every day. Also, providing more invoice layout options and including WhatsApp add-ons for free with TDL renew would be beneficial. Additionally, the GST reports 2A and 2B should have an online comparison feature.

From start to finish, this system is foolproof. It's the easiest and most productive solution to keep my business profitable. The sales and product inventory features are particularly helpful and motivates the entire team to perform better. My team loves the system, and despite trying another software for two weeks five years ago, we immediately switched back to Tally.

Now that Tally has been in the market for over 3 decades, it should align with current market conditions. It needs to handle large company accounts, incorporate advanced features, enhance graphics and provide top-notch customer support. Tally Prime requires greater compatibility compared to other accounting software.

Among the various software I have come across in many stores and shops, this one stands out as the most widely used. It offers a complete package for accounting, invoicing, inventory management and bill generation.

The best feature of this software, which I absolutely love, is the option to operate it without a mouse. It excels in keyboard shortcuts which makes it incredibly user-friendly. I wish other cloud-based software had this level of ease of use.

There is no option for customization when it comes to invoicing. We resort to a different cloud-based bookkeeping application for raising customer invoices.

I find the search feature in the display and basic entries, as well as the balance sheet and profit and loss account, extremely useful.

Double-clicking in the narration doesn't work, and the software summary lacks a search column, only up and down keys can be used. It is particularly inadequate for stock management. The order number should include an optional "client name" field. There is no option for an expiry date in the stock management feature.

Pros

All the features in Tally Prime are excellent, including inventory management, reports, party creation, taxation, banking and data security. However, my favorite part is the wide range of reports available, with over 350+ reports to choose from.

Cons

The software is good, and all its features are commendable. The price may be slightly higher compared to other software, but considering the features offered by Tally Prime, the price is ok, I believe.
