Trust-worthy tool

Pros

Out of all the tools I've used, it is the only one that really makes me trust that my structured data is correct. In Excel or Google Sheets, there's always that lingering concern that a validation rule is off or that someone accidentally changed part of the setup. With Grist, I can check the log anytime and review formulas in one place which makes verifying everything much faster.

Cons

The column-focused layout does take a bit of time to understand at first but once it clicks, that same design is exactly what gives me confidence that the data stays accurate.

Polished design

Pros

Right away, the interface feels surprisingly polished for a tool built around spreadsheets and tables which usually aren't the most pleasant systems to work in. Grist really pulled that off well. It also has powerful functionality for turning spreadsheets into more of a database setup, including building connections and relationships between data. We've used it to build a CRM for clients, put together a simple task and project management system, manage inventory and generate useful analytics and reports.

Cons

I'd really want to see more tutorials and video content around the features and different use cases. The documentation on the Grist website is decent but regular walkthroughs with real-world examples would make the platform much more approachable for the average user. Anything related to databases can already feel complicated for clients who aren't experts so more practical learning resources would help a lot.

Great for data management

Pros

Since bringing it into our team's workflow, managing data and projects has felt much more organized and efficient. The flexibility is one of its biggest strengths and we've been able to use it for all kinds of things like a CMS, inventory tracking, rank tracking, product performance, interactive SOPs and plenty more. It's part of my daily routine now and it has become absolutely essential for improving my productivity and helping organize operations across different departments.

Cons

There is still a bit of a learning curve, even though it wasn't especially difficult to get through. That said, their support team has been incredibly responsive and helpful anytime I've run into problems.
