“So simple yet effective software

Pros

I'm currently working as a data analyst with SAS Viya and I really enjoy using it because it's so simple. The coding is easy to understand and the server speed is impressive. It's especially helpful for big data analysis and data modeling. The software doesn't get bogged down during processing and if theres ever an issue or question, their customer support is outstanding, always available with a solution. It's definitely essential for my work.

I personally think SAS Viya is a great analysis tool and I really don't have any complaints about it.

This version has taken things to the next level by eliminating the need for much programming. I can work with real-time data from anywhere through the browser, which is really cool.

It's a bit on the expensive side but honestly the features and capabilities it offers are worth far more than the cost.

Pros

As an IoT engineer, I try out different software but I really love the data integration and management features in SAS Viya. The real-time analytics are amazing and I'm excited to try out machine learning and AI with it.

Cons

As an engineer I find myself relying on other software as well rather than sticking solely with SAS Viya.

What I like the most is the simplicity of the coding process. Techniques like ANOVA and regression are super helpful for statisticians and it's great for regulatory submissions.

From my experience I haven't found anything I dislike. It's been really helpful and the server is solid.

Data can easily be imported from a variety of sources, including social media, Hadoop, databases and Excel. To start creating reports or dashboards, you can simply drag in an Excel file, CSV or SAS dataset. The software has useful data quality features like changing case, building calculated columns and applying transformations with custom code. You can also convert, rename, remove and split columns as well as use methods like add, join, filter and transpose to prepare data. Tasks can be reused, planned and monitored and ancestry can be analyzed using network diagrams.

Cons

I mostly use SAS 9.4 so I'm not really doing any coding in SAS Viya (just being honest) since the necessary code is already available.

“Accurate Data Analytics

Pros

What I love most about SAS Viya is how quickly it processes everything. It can handle big data without any issues and the coding and output windows are linked and easy to follow. There's much less coding compared to other software. I highly recommend SAS Viya!

Cons

I don't think there is anything negative about it, though I do think the cost could be lower for single users.
