“Save time while presenting beautifully”
Pros
Creating visualizations with Tableau is very easy and the one year free student access gave me a chance to explore and understand its features without any pressure. It also saves me a lot of time which lets me focus on other important tasks.
Cons
One thing that gets a bit confusing at times is how it recognizes data types. Since each data point should be treated as continuous or discrete, it can be messy when it ends up identifying many of them as objects instead. Aside from that the pricing feels a little too high for an average user like me.

“Stunning visuals, occasional growing discomfort”
Pros
Tableau delivers really strong visualizations and the UI seems more user friendly than a lot of competing tools. The drag-and-drop setup makes self-serve reporting very approachable especially for business users who want to build their own reports without much friction.
Cons
Once the organization gets larger and teams operate in silos, managing it becomes pretty hard. The lack of a semantic layer often leads to inconsistent reporting and when business logic changes, keeping all the existing dashboards updated turns into a major burden.

“Dynamic views with rich graphical content”
Pros
It gives me a huge variety of charts, maps and graphs which makes it much easier to turn complex data into visuals that are both attractive and clear. The drag-and-drop interface is very user friendly so I can build impressive visualizations without needing a lot of coding knowledge or technical background. One feature I especially appreciate is the interactive dashboard capability. It lets me bring several visualizations and important metrics together in one dynamic view. Being able to interact with the data right from the dashboard, use filters and drill into specific details helps me understand trends and patterns much more completely. That level of interactivity keeps me engaged and often leads me to insights I probably would have missed otherwise.
Cons
Even though it is packed with powerful features, there is still a bit of a learning curve when it comes to mastering the more advanced functions. Starting out, I had to spend extra time learning the finer points of features like statistical analysis and forecasting. The available resources and community support are helpful but a more beginner-friendly onboarding process or interactive tutorials would have made getting up to speed much easier.

“Familiar workflow with upgraded visuals”
Pros
Tableau stands out as an interactive visualization tool with a simple UX that's easy to follow. Since it's such a widely used platform, most people already have some familiarity with it or know how to build visualizations in it which cuts down a lot on training time.
Cons
At the same time some parts of it don't feel very user friendly for first-time users. If someone doesn't already have experience with it, it can take a while to create a polished dashboard that really matches the aesthetic you're aiming for.

“Data insights that guide strategy”
Pros
Working with Tableau has been really valuable in my role as a business analyst. I spend a lot of time analyzing data and this tool helps turn that work into insights that support more data-driven decisions across the company.

“simple reporting that never confuses”
Pros
The reports in Tableau are very easy to read and work with. Once you know what information you need, it's pretty clear how to navigate and use everything.

“Collaborate through shared visual analytics”
Pros
Powerful tool for data visualization that is user friendly, with flexible connections to a wide variety of data sources. It supports interactive analysis and makes sharing and collaboration simple by letting you publish work online and send links so others can access the information.
Cons
Getting comfortable with the tool can take time and effort. The price may feel high compared with other data visualization options and some customizations may require additional technical knowledge. The quality and structure of the source data can also affect the overall experience.

“Team dashboards that unite departments”
Pros
One thing that really works well is the overall feature set. It lets the whole team collaborate on the same visualizations and dashboards which is very useful when working together.
Cons
The part I wasn't happy with is data cleaning and sorting since both feel harder to manage compared to Power BI. Integration also doesn't feel as good as it does in Power BI.

“Flexible dashboards for changing needs”
Pros
Tableau gives a lot of flexibility which is one of the biggest reasons I value it. It works well for many different needs and the option to build dashboards and reports makes it especially useful when sharing data and insights with other people.
Cons
Getting started with it can take a while. If someone is not already familiar with data analysis, the platform may feel challenging at first because the learning curve is fairly steep and it takes time to become fully comfortable using it.

“Insights embedded in every view”
Pros
It offers a lot of advantages similar to Power BI. We can manipulate data, build visualizations, run regression analysis and do much more with advanced visual reporting. These visualizations and dashboards are extremely useful for management when making decisions. Even rough unrefined data can be turned into professional and meaningful information.
Cons
The only thing really needed is proper training to use the software effectively. Updating and modifying dashboards still takes quite a bit of manual effort. The interface could be improved to make it more user friendly. I also think there are some security concerns that should be addressed, with updated security measures to make the software safer.
