“Big data looks beautiful here”
Pros
Right from the start it stands out as a data visualization tool. Its drag-and-drop interface lets users build highly interactive visuals in just a few minutes. It also offers a wide variety of visualization types that make the overall user experience better. Another big plus is that Tableau can handle millions of rows of data without much trouble.
Cons
One downside is that it doesn't provide an option to automatically refresh reports through scheduling. It's also not a completely open-source tool. Compared with platforms like Power BI, where developers can build custom visuals and load them in easily, it is more limited in that area. Users also point out issues with conditional formatting and the restriction of table views to only 16 columns. On top of that its parameters are static so they can only be used to choose a single value.

“Cloud analytics with stunning visuals”
Pros
Being a cloud based tool makes work much more convenient especially if you don't have a very powerful computer. It comes with a lot of features for filtering the data we want to analyze which is useful and the interface is also very visual and user friendly.
Cons
At the moment I have only used the free trial but the biggest downside is definitely the price.

“Campaign analytics that drive results”
Pros
Connected with Salesforce, this tool delivers more complete visualizations and supports far more precise analysis which helps build commercial campaigns that are more effective and successful. It comes with smart features and strong analytical capabilities that save time making it easier to develop projects based on customer requests and responses.
Cons
I haven't run into any issues with how this tool performs or how it's developed. It has worked very well for me right from the first time I started using it.

“Fast insights through striking visuals”
Pros
Beautiful visualizations and reporting tools, an excellent user experience, very fast performance even with complex calculations and handy drag-and-drop functionality.
Cons
The biggest gap is report scheduling which often results in manual refreshes. The dashboards also aren't responsive so separate versions are needed for desktop and mobile.

“Interactive dashboards that impress”
Pros
What really stands out with Tableau is its interactive, colorful dashboards. They make data visuals engaging and easy to understand. The basic features are accessible for new users and navigating the software is not a problem. You can create many types of statistical plots within minutes of importing data. You can also combine multiple sheets into one interactive dashboard, then share it online or export it as an image for email.
Cons
While the fundamentals are fairly quick to pick up, getting the most out of it does require deeper knowledge and that part can feel a bit exhausting. Aside from that it is an excellent tool for creating statistical visualizations.

“Connect any data source instantly”
Pros
Bringing data into Tableau is very easy and organizing information inside the platform is handled really well. It has decent data management features and arranging everything in a clear way is quite convenient. The connections you can create between tables, along with the correlation options, are especially useful.
Cons
It does feel complex to work with. I would not call that a bad thing but it definitely requires someone with the right training or experience to manage it properly.

“Clear tracking with every dashboard”
Pros
One thing I have really enjoyed about this product is how simple its tools are to use. It helps the company a lot by making it easier to visualize and keep track of key indicators.
Cons
The most challenging part has been how long it takes to extract and refresh data, mainly because of the volume being analyzed. It would be even better if it could handle larger data capacity to improve reporting times.

“Cloud-based visuals that perform”
Pros
The cloud version has been excellent especially for keeping updates managed with less hassle. There are tons of community resources available and they usually answer just about any question that comes up. The visualization options are extensive and give you a lot to work with.
Cons
This tool is much stronger on visualizations than on data reporting so it falls short if you also need more Excel-style views. The functions and calculations can be tough to learn and aren't always very user friendly and it doesn't handle some scenarios very well. Support from the actual IT team is pretty limited although the user community often fills that gap. The subscription cost is also very high.

“Dashboarding elevated our entire analysis”
Pros
Before using Tableau, whenever we needed to present management reports visually, we had to build charts in Excel, paste them into PowerPoint and explain them there. If someone asked for analysis from another perspective, we had to redo the same work, update everything again and present it once more. By preparing the data in Tableau and turning it into dashboards, we can now quickly show results based on the viewpoints requested on the spot which has made our work much more efficient.
Cons
There is a function to display data and graphs directly on a map, such as comparing Line A and Line B but I have two complaints about it. First, in a server environment that is not connected to the internet at all times, map information cannot be retrieved so this feature becomes unusable. I would really like map data to be cached internally so it can still be used even without an internet connection. Second, the type of chart that can be shown on the map is limited to pie charts only. A pie chart can express proportions by slices and overall volume by the size of the full circle but when the goal is to compare volumes more clearly, it is inconvenient that bar charts cannot be created on the map.

“A chart for every use case”
Pros
One thing that really works well is the range of charts and graphs available for data visualization. The dashboards refresh in real time which helps a lot and sharing them with others is easy too. The dashboard interface is user friendly and importing or exporting datasets in different formats is also very convenient.
Cons
Performance tends to slow down when working with larger datasets. Also some of the more advanced functions could be simplified to make them easier to use.

“Versatile views for any dataset”
Pros
From student records to sports stats and finance reporting, Tableau can be applied in so many different ways. We've used it to analyze grades, GPAs, attendance, demographic information and class selections and it's clear the platform has huge potential across an organization. Some features are even drag-and-drop and the filtering and search tools are very simple to use. It genuinely made me more interested in data and visualization and it helps strengthen my presentations with data-backed insights on student retention. The visuals also make it much easier to explain information to people who are not data-focused.
Cons
Coming into it without an IT or data background, it definitely took me a while to explore the platform and understand how it worked and how I could apply it in my role. Once that clicked, I really enjoyed using it but I still depend on our IT team to keep everything running properly and to provide training when needed.

Pros
The dashboard is excellent, the interface is very user friendly and bringing in data from different sources is simple to manage. Also it makes statistical data analysis easy and fun to work with.
