“Helpful support”
Pros
Tableau is easy to use, the platform responds quickly and implementation didn't take much effort. There's also a lot of training material and webinars available and whenever I have needed help, customer support has been consistently helpful.
Cons
One downside is that the loading time becomes very long when we connect large datasets from AWS.

“Interactive visuals that work well”
Pros
Creating data visualizations in Tableau is pretty easy and it gives a lot more interactive options than Excel does.
Cons
It does take a bit of SQL knowledge to use effectively but it's manageable to learn with help from Google and other online resources.

“Helpful community with easy visuals”
Pros
The community support is really helpful and there are plenty of free examples available to learn from. On top of that the platform is very easy to use.

“Rich connections with strong analytics”
Pros
Working with Tableau has made business and data analytics much more manageable, interactive and productive. It lets you connect multiple data sources and it supports MySQL oracle, Presto and many other standard data platforms.
Cons
At this point I have been enjoying the platform and haven't run into any major issues worth calling out though speed and networking are definitely areas that could be improved.

Pros
Tableau has a very powerful engine and can connect to a wide range of data sources. It's also capable of creating some truly impressive visualizations.

“loved it”
Pros
It has to be one of the top tools out there for data visualization especially when it comes to building reports and dashboards.
Cons
There's definitely a steep learning curve because the application can be quite complex. That said, the company has done a good job of providing tutorials to help users learn how to use it.

Tableau is a really capable platform for building impressive data visualizations from files and sources like Excel and more. The interface is attractive and user friendly and it's simple to work with while still offering a wide range of features that help you get more value from your data and present it in a compelling story through your visualizations.

“easy reporting setup”
Pros
With Tableau it is very easy to set up statistical reporting and get it running. Even end users can build these tools themselves, as long as they know which data source to use.
Cons
Right now, we're still working with the trial version of the product and up to this point we haven't come across any problems.

“Some of the best dashboards out there”
Pros
Among all the dashboarding tools I have worked with, Tableau stands out the most for both design and functionality. It's about as user friendly as these tools get and the overall experience feels unmatched. Another big plus is having Tableau Reader available for free which makes sharing reports really convenient.
Cons
Like any dashboarding platform it does take a little time to learn at first. That said I really cannot hold that against it since it's still best in class.

“Good visuals for analyzing data”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages of Tableau is how many different data sources it can pull from, including Excel files, text documents, PDFs and more. Once the data is brought in, it can be organized and analyzed using different metrics, like sorting sales by date, region, customer and other categories. The color functionality is especially helpful because it makes charts much more useful at a glance. For example, sales can be shaded by profitability, with blue showing profitable results and red or orange highlighting unprofitable ones. That makes it much faster to spot which accounts or customers need attention. It is especially valuable during audits, when the people reviewing the data need to identify outliers and possibly incorrect accounts or assertions.
Cons
Because it offers such a large range of features, it can feel overwhelming when you are new to it. At times, it seems like I am only using a fraction of what the software is capable of.

“Nice visuals for your data”
Pros
Tableau has been an excellent tool for organizing data and turning it into visuals that make research much easier to explain. There's a wide range of colors and styling options which helps highlight what the information is actually saying in a clear and engaging way.
Cons
The free version doesn't include nearly as many tools or features and it constantly reminds you about what you'd get with a paid subscription. I understand the upsell but it can get a little annoying.

“Great insights into your accounts”
Pros
One of the biggest benefits is how clearly it shows which products a client is using, making it much easier to spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities, compare different accounts and get a better read on overall account health. The Salesforce integration is also a big plus and works really well.
Cons
Building your own reports or making changes to existing ones can be pretty difficult and takes more effort than it should.

“Visuals that work for everyone”
Pros
The tool is simple and it handles visualization rendering really efficiently thanks to its strong engine. It also lets us publish visualizations online through Tableau Public which is a big plus. Another thing I appreciate is how many different data sources it can connect to. On top of that using calculated fields and similar features is simple if you want to do some programming.
Cons
Honestly I don't have anything negative to say. Even for someone new to it, it stands out as one of the best applications to use.

“Blend data with fantastic dashboards”
Pros
It pulls together data from multiple datasets into a single database well. Plus it works well for both technical users and non-programmers and the dashboards are excellent and hassle-free to build and use.
Cons

“Useful insights for better analysis”
Pros
Once the data is loaded correctly, Tableau can handle very detailed business analysis. We've used it to uncover some genuinely useful and interesting insights about our business and the activity happening across our marketplace. It also supports complex data breakdowns, almost like working with massive pivot tables, along with multiple layers of filters and segmentation.
Cons
Like any data platform, it's very much a case of garbage in, garbage out so bad data can quickly lead you in the wrong direction. It also takes time to learn and isn't the most beginner-friendly tool.

Pros
Running our call center is much easier with this incredibly capable tool because it helps us monitor performance metrics and data in a really smart way. We use it for a wide range of tasks and the level of customization feels almost unlimited.
Cons

“Sales dashboards with good visuals”
Pros
Tableau has been really useful for pulling sales data and reviewing key trends. It lets you look at year-to-date and month-to-year numbers clearly and when the dashboard is laid out well, moving through it feels very natural. It also does a really good job of turning the data into visuals that are actually helpful to read.
Cons
Once you're dealing with a large amount of data, setting up the exact view you want can get tricky. We've had to redesign some of our dashboards just to make navigation easier. On top of that breaking products down and sorting them into different categories can be challenging.

“good visuals that get results”
Pros
It is simple but it still has enough depth to handle more advanced needs. The visualizations are strong and more than capable for what most users need. It doesn't try to be flashy and honestly that works in its favor since a visualization tool is supposed to focus on clarity rather than artistic extras.
Cons
A few features can behave in odd ways at times but there are usually workarounds available. It also helps that upcoming updates seem to be addressing some of those issues.
