“Using Presto Technology to enhance a Teradata-driven experience
Pros
PrestoSQL (now Trino) provides excellent connectivity to various data storage platforms. When paired with Teradata, it greatly expands the range of external data sources that Teradata users can access.
Cons
The compatibility of Teradata Querygrid with its PrestoSQL case lags behind the open-source community. Integrations often need to remain several versions behind what's available elsewhere. Teradata has also mentioned in the past that they plan to discontinue support for this product in the future.

“Great product with amazing features
Pros
It supports languages like Python, can be deployed anywhere, is easy to use and is something I frequently rely on due to its simplicity and smooth implementation.
Cons
So far.. no major issues. Vantage has all the new features but I believe more customer support would be helpful.

“Love it. Excellent product with incredible support
Pros
I enjoy the informal presentations and round tables. They're really helpful for seeing how the software operates and hearing about practical use cases for cloud migration and AI.
Cons
Location is great but it's quite far from the airports, which isn't convenient for many of us.

“Effective integrations and amazing features
Pros
The UI is user-friendly and familiar to anyone experienced with standard SQL technology. I also appreciate how easily it integrates with non-database files and how the technology is applied where both data and processing are located.
Cons
At this point, I can't really identify any clear disadvantages or dislikes. The main question I have is whether this product will truly improve performance and scalability for my specific use cases. Essentially do I need this product or the support from the Teradata team to meet my organization's needs?

“The top platform for analytics and customer-centric solutions (Clearscape, CloudLake, AI/ML)
Pros
It is a comprehensive platform for creating data warehouses and cloud lakes, delivering excellent value with Clearscape Analytics and seamless, cloud agnostic implementations. After 18 years of working with this technology, I've recently been impressed by the Vantage SaaS offering and the Vantage cloud console UI, which stands out as one of the best with numerous built-in features. The advancements in AI/ML over recent months have been outstanding, helping large clients streamline their analytics, models and reporting. It's one of the most secure, fully governed platforms compliant with industry standards, and its cloud presence across multiple hyperscalers makes it stand out. The integration capabilities are excellent!! customers can fully leverage the multi-cloud platform, Vantage Cloud Lake, NOS capabilities, Query Grid, disaster recovery solutions and operational excellence in the SaaS model. It also integrates with Microsoft Fabric for serverless queries. Data scientists can use the BYOM feature to integrate models, work with notebooks created on other platforms, and take advantage of 4D analytics and numerous built-in user-defined functions for top-quality analytics. There are more features on the horizon, which will make it an even stronger competitor against technologies like Snowflake and Databricks.
Cons
Not much to complain about. Recently Teradata's engineering team has really enhanced its capabilities, making Teradata Vantage a true Lakehouse platform with Clearscape analytics and AI/ML capabilities.
