It offers nice visuals with a modern approach to analytics and I appreciate the efficiencies with TML, great customer support and solid embedded functionality.

Report components are not reusable such as formulas and some features are still underdeveloped like sync issues and syncing to Slack only displaying the first page.

Quick implementation, simple UI for business users and innovative features like AI powered questions. The drill and interactive functionalities are particularly helpful for business users and embedding dashboards into our customer portal works seamlessly.

ThoughtSpot is a high end option in the market, offering limited customization alongside a user-friendly interface.

“Next generation of BI software

Pros

It is by far the most userfriendly BI platform I have used. There's some setup and architecture to consider initially but once it's in place, it's much easier to navigate than other platforms.

Cons

It is leading the way in business intelligence, emphasizing search and natural language processing, which allows you to explore your data without always needing a data scientist to write queries. Setting up your instance requires some effort to structure your data, but once done, it enables decision makers (non data scientists) to engage with and analyze data to uncover insights.

“Great integrated product

Pros

UI is sleek and modern, and it really enhances the overall experience. The functionality is solid, and the data visualizations are powerful, helping users dig deeper and uncover answers independently. The technology is continually improving, with regular updates and new releases. The implementation was relatively straightforward, though there were a few nuances. Overall, it integrated smoothly with our main product. I've had a great experience working with my Account Executive, who consistently goes above and beyond to answer questions and help resolve any challenges we've faced.

Cons

The interactivity and functionality within each data tile isn't as intuitive as expected. There are some restrictions with the current UI that can be difficult to modify, which can be an issue when embedding the product especially when it needs to match the look/feel of our product. There are technical limits with data sets and if you're using data integration outside of a data warehouse, collaborating closely with ThoughtSpot engineers is essential to ensure compatibility. Overall it's a great product but the embedded experience has room for improvement.

“Amazing product with excellent support!

Pros

The customer support from the ThoughtSpot team has been exceptional. They're always responsive, efficient and eager to assist. Ariana and Ashley, in particular, have been fantastic, available on Slack and resolving issues quickly, which has greatly enhanced our experience. Their commitment to customer satisfaction really makes ThoughtSpot stand out. Also internal users love the platform's user friendly interface, which allows even non-technical team members to easily interact with data and draw valuable insights.

Cons

Some users have mentioned limitations with supported visualizations and access controls. More flexibility in these areas would be helpful.

“The most straightforward, user-friendly BI tool I've used

Pros

I've used many BI tools throughout my career but ThoughtSpot is by far the easiest to use and gets answers from our data faster than any other platform. The implementation was smooth, and the support team has been great.

Cons

My only complaint is that month to month comparisons don't dynamically adjust based on the selected date.

I really appreciate the ability to drill down into any report without needing to have pre-built templates or infrastructure. It's a huge time saver.

There are no major drawbacks. the implementation was quick. The learning curve is fast, but it gets a bit steeper if you want to learn every single feature. However the most commonly used features are easy to understand.

“Provides extremely useful analytics

Pros

The most fundamental aspect, in my opinion, is its ease of use. Unlike many other platforms, it allows even those with little data experience to quickly create and customize dashboards, known as "liveboards." This feature increases the platform's adoption and enables more frequent usage, making it easier for us to target a wider market. It's a great tool for selling our product because of how accessible it is. And we have been impressed by its proactive support. The team is highly engaged, responsive and always available to help. We can easily reach out to specific team members for quick assistance. Integrating ThoughtSpot into our platform was seamless, further adding to the positive experience.

Cons

The only issue I have is that software bugs, which are clearly issues, take too long to be resolved. We believe bugs should be prioritized and sometimes wonder if they truly are at ThoughtSpot.

ThoughtSpot gives me a real edge in obtaining relevant data and getting a clearer, up-to-date view of market segments compared to other sources we use.

Cons

It's nearly perfect but it does take some time to load in the browser. A standalone application to improve data accessibility would be a great addition. And the inability to retrieve weekly comparison data due to storage limitations is a drawback.
