“Top-Notch Visual Dashboards

Pros

This tool works well for our team because many of us are tracking different KPIs and have different stakeholders to review. What I really appreciate about it is how easy it is to use and the visualizations it provides. They help tell the story and guide our teams towards success.

Cons

I believe the documentation has room for improvement.

Pros

One of the key elements that made WYN the right choice for us is its diverse data receptors, which are continuously being developed. It allows us to ingest data from almost anywhere and visualize it effectively. Integrating the entire software into our own applications has enabled us to add many features that enhance the experience for our customers through this level of integration.

Cons

It would be helpful if widget generation could be utilized more effectively to present data facets. Adding features like intelligent, data-driven widgets, such as setting thresholds that change color or state, or even triggering animations, would enhance the experience.

“Simple to use, but powerful in function

Pros

It was simple to install and deploy and the customer support and service were excellent.

Cons

The install base is still small, and it is not widely known in the industry yet (though I am confident this will change). One limitation is that it cannot retrieve data from OLAP servers.

“Cost-effective, flexible BI solution

Pros

The platform is easy to use and comes with many out-of-the-box features. Support has been fantastic, they are just an email or call away. They respond quickly to any issues, and usually, problems are resolved the same day. The licensing also allows room for growth without the burden of large per-user licensing costs.

Cons

There are very few downsides, but one area for improvement would be the documentation, which could be better.

The support has been outstanding. We had some initial issues, and we're using this product in a unique use case. However, our reporting has improved significantly since then.

We had a few bugs here and there while using the software.

The pricing structure wasn't dependent on user count or memory and storage, so as we grew, the cost per user decreased.

At times, I found that some of the configuration options in the Admin section of the backend were a bit hard to locate.

“Improving over time

Pros

Coming from Active Reports Server, Wyn has provided much better performance and features. These were areas we struggled with when integrating the previous solution into our product. With Wyn, many of the problem areas we had or workarounds we created have been addressed. Performance, in particular, is now a major strength.

Cons

The biggest issue we've faced, which is similar to the one we faced when using Active Reports Server, is the missing or incomplete documentation for certain API calls and configuration setups. For instance, when creating a Custom Security Provider, we didn't know that the API used to call and retrieve a Token was [ServerURL]/connect/token. Also, figuring out how to use an Organization context in a connection string for a Data Source or Data Model was unclear.

“Easy to learn

Pros

I like how easy it is to set up and develop reports that can be shared with prospective company employees.

Cons

There were some quirks initially, but they are gradually being resolved as the application evolves and the development team adds new features while addressing existing issues.
