“Easy to use and install

Pros

The software is quite easy to install. In just a few minutes we able to create a search bar for our website that works perfectly.

Cons

I feel like the pricing is a bit too high mainly for smaller businesses that do not rely heavily on their website.

“Provide users with an amazing search experience

Pros

It is a great solution for enabling smart search on our help center and main website. Plus it greatly improved usability for the end user and implementing it was not too difficult.

Cons

No real issue to share but it did require our tech team to roll it out, so it was not something I could have done on my own. However this is a minor issue since the implementation was quite easy.

“Facets and search are fantastic but setup can take time

Pros

The best thing is that it replaced our Shopify collection pages with fast loading product categories that respond quickly to filters. The sorting options like New in and Best Selling, also work well eliminating the need to manually update categories.

Cons

It is not as simple to setup as I expected like right out of the box and requires a fair amount of work to integrate with your Shopify template.

Algolia is simply an amazing search engine. The documentation is really clear and we able to get quick results. The integration process is simple too.

Cons

Setting it up is easy but customizing it is not. As I had to spend some time to get good results.

I use Algolia to integrate search functionality into an iOS app. The documentation was excellent and I was up and running in under 20 minutes. I am not an experienced developer but the documentation was so easy to follow.

Occasionally I get a bit confused by the user interface and the terminology used.

We use Algolia to add deeper search functionality that most content management systems lack. Also it offers a richer search experience and is easy to integrate and configure.

Nothing that I have come across. We have used it successfully for many years and our clients understand that offering quality search functionality does come at a cost. A lot of reviews mention that Algolia can be pricey but it is worth it.

Some searches seem a bit misleading to me especially when the right information is not provided.

Setting up full text search with data stored in Firebase was done in less than a day. Plus the ready made components for Vue.js made the process even smoother and helped us reduce time to market.

Cons

Algolia is a little expensive. However we able to customize our front-end to pull data exclusively from it instead of Firebase and it's definitely paid off.

The most liked part of it to me was that it integrates easily with mobile applications built using Flutter.

Migrating data from Firebase is not as easy as I expected it to be.

I feel completely at ease with every aspect of the Algolia software. The integration with other programs was smooth and navigating it was fairly easy.

I must say I am not very tech savvy but I really appreciate your service. It was so much simpler compared to trying to do everything myself.

The tutorial and documentation are so simple to follow that it is almost like you are being explained to like you are five. Also getting our data uploaded and searchable is simple with a great balance of effort to results.

Someone did not set everything up for me? This shows how simple everything is and that sets the bar too high and a tough standard to meet.

Pros

Algolia completely transformed our customer experience. After implementation our customer contact volume dropped significantly. Instant search and improved results pages reduced the need for help. The best thing is that users could search for what they needed rather than navigating around.

Cons

We run a retail chain with 100+ locations and operate as a BOPIS platform. Each location has a unique assortment of products so indexing each item at every location as an individual entry increases the time needed for index operations. Well we can say it is not the fault of the software but I wish things could become simpler.

It worked perfectly with our search engine and the data it compiled doing exactly what it was supposed to do.

With our data we ran into some issues. Like it was taking too long to gather and store product data. We have over 1 million SKUs spread across 14 storefronts and it was too much for the system to handle.
