The collaborative feature on this software has really enhanced the precision of all our annotations, which has led to a noticeable improvement in their overall quality. On a deeper level, I've appreciated the high level of detail we're able to achieve with the annotations and frame classifications using the ontologies.

When the new workflow feature first rolled out, we did experience a few bugs, but those seem to be resolved now. Overall, we're really satisfied with the software.

Pros

We're using Encord for our computer vision research, and when it comes to annotation tools, it has a very user-friendly interface. The SDK is also easy to use. A standout feature they recently added is the Segment Anything Model, which has sped up our annotation process by about 4 times.

Encord supports the DICOM format for CT and MR images straight out of the box, offers open-stack cloud storage compatibility, and has excellent data loading performance. Their support team is also very responsive and quick to address any concerns.

The software lacks options to sort projects by study, patients, or subfolders, and sometimes connecting to cloud data takes longer than I'd like.

While this tool is very powerful, I believe it could really benefit from a few more customization options. For instance, allowing users to personalize hotkeys and tool settings would significantly improve the overall experience.

The APIs are well-documented, and though it might seem like a basic feature, it's crucial! Getting Encord up and running with our pipeline was a simple process. On the rare occasion we needed help, the support team was fantastic and extremely friendly. The annotation tool itself is a game-changer, paying for itself through the boost in productivity!

I have to give credit, they do an excellent job of promoting new features. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but since we have deeply integrated our pipeline with Encord, we'd really appreciate a bit more notice before new releases.
