Stellar support department

Pros

Customer support has been excellent across the board, from how available they are to how quickly they respond and how effective their solutions turn out to be.

Cons

The only downside is that we couldn't customize the product since the codebase isn't open source.

incredible editing and autosave

Pros

Working in this platform feels very simple and I really appreciate the auto-save feature. Uploading photos and managing assets in the library is also very simple.

Cons

The preview feature can be unreliable at times although it usually gets resolved pretty quickly.

It has flexible models

Pros

Using it as a headless CMS for two different websites has really highlighted how adaptable the content model is. Being able to shape content types around our exact requirements makes a noticeable difference in day-to-day use. The language fallback feature is another big plus. If a translation is missing, it automatically switches to the predefined fallback language which keeps the editorial process moving and removes the hassle of duplicating content.

Cons

As strong as the content modelling is, the field configuration side feels a bit limited. One example is that you Cant set the output data type for a field so a single-select radio element is still returned as an array which means extra type handling has to be done in your own code. There's also no built-in support for calculated or derived fields. You can work around that but only by creating and hosting your own processing layer outside the CMS. If the goal is to keep the stack lean, these are areas where the platform feels like it should offer more out of the box.

Great content tools

Pros

Right away, it felt genuinely user-friendly. The interface is clean, adaptive and simple to move through so creating content feels smooth instead of overwhelming. The task assignment feature has been especially useful because I can assign specific components or full content items to teammates, monitor progress and keep everything organized without having to rely on a separate project management tool.

Cons

One frustrating part of using it for a food company is the way ingredient integration works. After uploading thousands of products and recipes, the platform can start to feel overwhelming to navigate. Whenever I create a new recipe for the site, I have to add a new ingredient entry every time even when that ingredient already exists somewhere in the system. That usually happens because each recipe needs a different cut, size or measurement and there is no universal dropdown or flexible way to reuse existing ingredient variations. As the library keeps growing, this process becomes more and more time-consuming and makes ingredient management more complicated than it should be.

simple interface!

Pros

Working in this platform has been really great when it comes to adding content to our website. The interface is clean and uncomplicated which makes it especially helpful for anyone who doesn't have much experience using this kind of tool. Adding images is also very convenient since you can just drag and drop them in. Getting started was just as simple and I barely needed any support beyond a few basic tips to access the interface.

Cons

The one downside is that uploading content can take quite a while. I really wish the process happened instantly.

structured content that delivers

Pros

This platform has been my go-to for managing and publishing content for the Omni platform. It really helps with one of the biggest challenges at scale, keeping content consistent across large volumes. The structured content model keeps everything organized and reusable which cuts down on duplication and reduces the chance of errors. Im able to handle everything in one place, from editing content to publishing updates and that makes the whole process much more manageable. It also helps different teams collaborate better, review changes together and confirm accuracy before anything goes live. Another big plus is their support team which has been responsive and helpful anytime we've had questions or run into issues. Between the reliable support, structured content approach and efficient workflows, it's been a very effective tool for content management. Getting started with the initial setup was also fairly simple.

Cons

A recycle bin or some kind of recovery option for deleted content would be really useful. It would make it much easier to restore items that get removed by accident.

A very reliable platform

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of this software is how stable the system is. The product roadmap is also encouraging and the additional features that come with it add real value. Having a success manager who is genuinely helpful makes a noticeable difference and the documentation is strong and useful as well.

Cons

The pricing feels a little steep. Even so, the platform's stability still makes it a worthwhile option.

effortless usage with fast support

Pros

Getting around the platform is fairly simple and the support team responds very quickly. It also offers plenty of options so it can adapt well to different kinds of needs.

Cons

When you're dealing with large websites, it can be pretty challenging for new team members to learn how to navigate the system though that feels like a common issue with many CMS platforms. It would also be helpful if component names could be generated automatically based on the content inside them.

Impressive API for any stack

Pros

The API side is really useful. We store content in Kontent.ai and can pull that data through the API into any technology we want.

Cons

It doesn't include e-commerce functionality though.

love working with this software

Pros

Using this tool has been really simple and it has genuinely made my day-to-day work easier. I enjoy my job more because of it and I'd gladly speak highly of Kontent and recommend it to others without any hesitation.

Cons

There are still a number of areas that could potentially be improved although that really depends on the specific situation. Even so, the platform does its best to address problems directly and prevent issues before they grow.
