“Decent voice features”

Pros

Voice generation is fast. So for basic, short-form content it saves time compared to recording from scratch. The voices are intelligible and don't break down entirely, which makes it usable for low-stakes tasks where perfect naturalness isn't needed.

Cons

I went in expecting a lot because of the "revolutionary" marketing but it ended up being a letdown. The voices sound decent enough yet they still carry a slightly artificial tone especially with longer passages. The biggest downside is how little control there is for fine-tuning the speech. At this price point, I expected more customization particularly for pacing and intonation. It works well enough for short clips but I wouldn't trust it for professional-level projects.

Its discounted annual plan and AI voice generation features were appealing at first and the refund was eventually processed once the Mastercard chargeback review was completed.

Cons

After signing up for a discounted one-year subscription, I was charged $119 USD when it auto-renewed a year later with only a 5-day email warning. From my perspective, that notice period did not comply with either my country's consumer protection laws or Mastercard standards. I asked for a refund right away but aside from one initial reply saying it went against their terms, my follow-up emails were ignored. In the end, I had to open a chargeback with Mastercard which was eventually approved and the refund only came through after weeks of silence and unnecessary stress. I was also disappointed by what felt like dark patterns, including auto-renewal information being tucked away in fine print, very limited notice before billing and poor communication the entire time.
