“centralized search that saves time”
Pros
Working on a cloud automation team every day, I rely on it to search across platforms such as Jira and Confluence. It makes it much faster to track down Terraform tickets, architecture documentation and earlier decisions without having to remember which system they were saved in. Being able to search by module names or issue IDs and see relevant matches from several tools in one place saves a lot of time during both development and troubleshooting.
Cons
Searches with very common terms can bring up some loosely related results so queries sometimes need to be narrowed down. The initial setup can also take a bit of work especially when configuring integrations and handling permissions across all the connected tools.
