I was genuinely surprised by the range of voice options and speed settings available by theme. There were voices suited to all kinds of different needs which made the software feel very versatile.

Cons

Adding specific spacing between paragraphs wasn't very clear and getting the timing adjusted exactly right was difficult.

Pros

Reading long-form documents is a big part of both my job and my personal life and this has given me a really helpful alternative to staring at text all day. It takes a lot of strain off my eyes and lets me absorb information in a different way. The narrator voice options are also fantastic, having Snoop Dogg read a long, dull document genuinely changes the whole experience. I even suggest it to my clients because the material I create is very text-heavy and this makes it much easier for them to take in and understand what they paid for. Another big plus is being able to listen while moving around which helps me fit more activity into my workday.

Cons

My only real issue is that I still forget to use it sometimes because I'm so used to reading everything myself. I usually turn to it once my eyes already feel tired, when honestly I should probably be using it more regularly.

“5x playback and accent variety”

Pros

Being able to listen at 5x speed saves me a ton of time when I'm editing articles which is really important for my work. I also appreciate the range of accents, especially the British male voice. Another big plus is that it can scan written text and turn it into speech which makes it even more useful.

Cons

Honestly don't have any complaints about it.

Whenever I need to get through a large amount of written material in a short time, this has been a really helpful time-saver.

I'd love to see a broader range of voice choices available.

There really wasn't much here to feel positive about. The only upside that comes to mind is that it does have an app, even though it was basically unusable.

Cons

The AI-generated voice quality was extremely poor and the customer service was so bad it honestly left me feeling sick to my stomach.

At first, the software worked really well but as I started using the voice-over feature more often, I noticed the pronunciation and the pauses between words were not quite right.

In some of the languages, the pronunciation is not very clear which affects the overall quality.

It's fairly decent for a quick review and it supports reading a wide range of file formats.

Cons

The price is definitely too high. After the free trial, you have to pay 80 EUR which really doesn't match the quality of the service. It works okay in English but for Italian it's absolutely not up to standard.

Having emails read aloud has been a huge time saver for us. It lets me get through twice as much work in the same amount of time.

I just wish the free plan still included at least one high-quality voice option.

After adding the Chrome extension, this app started reading any document or web page on my system out loud. It's been a real time-saver for me.

The basic plan only comes with a limited selection of voices.

“Perfect for busy days”

Pros

Between MBA classes, supervising a sales team and raising two kids, my schedule is packed all the time. This lets me multitask by having content read aloud instead of being stuck staring at a page and I can also increase the playback speed. Since I naturally read quickly and never seem to have enough time, that faster listening option has been especially useful.

Cons

Every now and then, the software pauses after headings or when it moves into a new section. When that happens, I have to stop what I'm doing, go back to the page or tab and hit play again, sometimes more than once. It's not a frequent issue and mainly shows up on pages or documents with lots of section titles but that's really my only complaint right now.
