“Record button still broken”

It was simple to use when it actually worked and having both a browser extension and a desktop app was convenient.

Cons

I bought the app through the AppSumo deal and for the first few months it worked exactly as expected. After that though, every time I press the record button, I get an error. At first I thought a macOS update had caused it but after testing other screen recording tools without any issues, it became clear the problem was coming from this app. I reached out to support and was told the bug would be addressed in the next update but even after 2 or 3 updates, nothing changed. When I followed up again, I still didn't get any real fix or even a clear timeline. Because the issue has dragged on without resolution, I wouldn't buy from them again or recommend their products.

“Reliable tool”

Pros

It's been a dependable tool and people have actually complimented me because of it.

Cons

A few things still bother me. 1.25x isn't set as the default playback speed and there's no option to make it that way. The Mac app only works on Intel-based devices so I have to rely on the Chrome extension instead. On top of that, the Mac app keeps logging me out.

“Fair pricing”

Pros

Compared with Loom, this feels like a really solid alternative, mainly because the pricing is better while the core features are all there. Starting a recording takes just one click so it's very simple to use. Sharing generally works well and it covers everything needed for recording the screen, the presenter's face and audio.

Cons

There isn't a lot to complain about but a few areas could definitely be improved. The overall UI/UX still feels like it needs some refinement. Quite often, videos take a long time to process which can be frustrating. Shared folders are also a bit confusing to figure out. On top of that, I'd like to see more sharing options such as sending videos to specific people or using self-destruct links instead of sharing the entire video.

“Awesome recording quality”

Pros

Whenever I run into a technical issue, this is usually the tool I use to record my screen and send the video to support for troubleshooting. I really appreciate the recording quality and it even worked well when I recorded a TV interview with audio to promote my company. It's stable, simple to use and locating or sharing a recorded video is quick and simple.

Cons

Honestly, I don't have any real complaints about it. If I had to point out one minor inconvenience, it would be having to log back into my account when using it on another computer after my session has been inactive for a while.

“Packed with useful features”

Pros

Using it been a pleasure because it packs in a lot of useful features. The interface is clean, the panels are user-friendly and the built-in tools are quite powerful. I really appreciate the different options for adjusting the camera window's shape and size. Being able to record and upload videos directly to the cloud is another big plus since it makes sharing them incredibly fast and also makes it convenient to go back and watch anything again later. Everything works reliably and I'm especially glad it's now available for Windows so it can run locally without needing a browser.

Cons

I'd like more control for fine-tuning appearance such as smoothing skin texture. It would also be better if the app didn't require me to log in every single time I open it on my computer.

“Amazing video timer feature”

Pros

Right away, it feels practical for everyday recording tasks. The video timer is especially useful since it can automatically delete a video after a set time. It also lets users add annotations which is helpful when explaining something visually. Unlimited upload storage is a big plus and the option to record the screen in up to 4K makes the output look very clear. Both selective area recording and full-screen capture are available so there's flexibility depending on the task. I also appreciate that exported files can be uploaded directly to YouTube. The interface is simple to navigate and the built-in editor makes it possible to trim, cut and add symbols or annotations without needing another tool. On the webcam side, background blur and custom background options are available and files can be shared with other users for viewing or collaborative editing.

Cons

That said, there is still room to expand the feature set on the platform. It would also be better if an Android app version were available. Customer support could improve as well especially when it comes to resolution-related optimization and faster response times. Adding a dedicated resource section would also make the platform more valuable.
