The licensing process and adding users could be more flexible and customer support can be slow at times.

“solid upgrade”

Pros

Using this has been a solid upgrade to my development workflow because it keeps things simple while still helping me code and debug faster. Getting it up and running was pretty quick and it fit into the way I already work without much effort. I rely on it often during development and it helps me stay productive while keeping tasks more organized. There are also plenty of useful features built in that make the overall coding and debugging experience better. I haven't had to contact customer support much but when I have the resources available have been helpful. It also connects well with different development tools so adding it to an existing setup is fairly simple :)

Cons

A downside is that it takes a bit of time at first to really understand everything it offers. The interface can occasionally feel a little crowded and some of the more advanced options aren't especially accessible right away. Clearer documentation and better guidance for new users would definitely make the difficulty easier to handle.

“cuts down effort”

Pros

Coding feels much faster with it and the suggestions are usually right on target. It cuts down the effort a lot so there's no need to overthink every step because it handles so much on its own. Really impressive tool and I'd absolutely recommend it to developers.

Cons

The only minor issue is that it can occasionally take a bit longer to load. It's nothing serious just a small lag here and there. Apart from that everything else has been really solid.

Pros

It really shines through its core features: Cascade for deeper AI assistance that understands the codebase, Tab for context aware autocomplete, live website editing through Previews right inside the IDE, MCP support, natural language terminal commands and inline refactoring tools.

Cons

One drawback is that Windsurf feels built around a fairly opinionated, AI-first workflow so it may feel like overkill if all you want is lightweight coding help. Another issue is the recent pricing change which moved away from a credit-based model to usage allowances that reset on a daily and weekly basis.

“helpful coding support”

Pros

Has been genuinely helpful to use it as a coding assistant. It saves me time on the tedious parts where I'd normally have to dig through documentation especially for commands like awk and sed while writing bash scripts. The UI/UX also feels very similar to VSCode so getting comfortable with the interface didn't take long at all.

Cons

An issue is that it tends to forget I'm usually running my bash scripts on a MacBook with BSD syntax rather than Linux syntax. Most of the time I catch the Linux-style commands and correct them myself but occasionally it takes a few extra prompts to get it back on track.

“Good experience”

Pros

Using this has been a really good experience! The AI suggestions are excellent and coding feels much faster and more effortless with it. I'm genuinely loving it :)

Cons

Sometimes it can feel a little slow and the suggestions are not always completely accurate. Even with that it is still a very good tool overall.

“responsive”

Pros

Right away it impressed me with how responsive it feels and how natural the interface is to use. It takes a lot of the hassle out of more complicated workflows, adds smart automation where it actually helps and lets developers get more done without as much repetitive manual work. It also fits nicely into an existing development environment and has made a noticeable difference in both productivity and overall code quality.

Cons

That said it does take a bit of time to fully understand when you start digging into the more advanced features. A few parts would also be better with clearer documentation and additional customization options so it can adapt more flexibly to different development styles.

Pros

It has been impressively fast and the response quality with Anthropic models is consistently high.

Cons

Honestly the only downside has been the pricing for third party models.

“Great for coding”

Pros

Something that really works well is how simple it makes project and task management! The interface feels accessible, the collaboration tools are dependable and keeping track of progress across different teams is simple and clear. As a backend developer it also helps me with coding which adds a lot of value.

Cons

Has been excellent overall but moving between projects or handling very large boards could feel a bit more smooth.

“updates often”

Pros

Being able to switch between agents in it is a big plus especially since they get updated often and I can pick whichever one seems best at the moment. It's really useful to use different agents for different kinds of tasks without needing to juggle multiple AI subscriptions. The stronger agent integration compared with VSCode was one of the main reasons I moved over. Getting started was also very simple since I only had to install it and sign in.

Cons

At times the agents still make mistakes and can't edit the code properly. For instance Gemini 3 Pro sometimes fails mid task and asks me how to proceed which means I have to respond manually and end up spending twice the credits on something that should have been completed already.

“familiar interface”

Pros

Compared with Cursor this one feels much closer to VS Code which made the switch a lot more comfortable. The interface and overall workflow were already familiar so moving over felt much easier.

Cons

My only real complaint is that once the context gets too packed the AI starts to slow down and behave a bit buggy.

“useful for me”

Pros

Having multiple AI code assistants built into one editor is what makes it so useful to me. I can move between them without any trouble which gives me the freedom to pick the right agent for the job like using ChatGPT for writing tasks and Sonnet for coding. That kind of flexibility adds a lot of value because it fits naturally into how I work. The integrations feel polished and well connected and that has made my overall workflow faster and more efficient. I also really appreciate being able to switch to lower-credit assistants for simpler tasks since that helps keep costs under control without slowing me down. The quick code suggestions are another big plus because they provide instant help and ideas that speed up development. On top of that the AI integration feels better than Visual Studio Code's which is a big reason I chose it as my main editor.

Cons

The biggest concern for me is the pricing especially now that Sonnet has become more expensive. I'd really like to see it lower the cost a bit so it feels more affordable particularly since I depend on the lower credit assistants for basic tasks.

Pros

Does a really nice job of blending AI help with a capable coding environment! It understands the broader project context, assists with edits across multiple files and helps speed up development by cutting down on repetitive work.

Cons

Occasionally some of the AI suggestions miss the context so they still need to be checked manually.

“free access to SWE and Codex”

Pros

Right now being able to use SWE and GPT Codex at no cost is a really nice benefit.

Cons

It would be much better if it kept history and checkpoints so code could be rolled back to a specific restore point when needed.

“incredibly useful”

Pros

The AI powered code suggestions and live explanations have been incredibly useful while coding. It feels much lighter than many traditional IDEs, the interface is clean and uncluttered and it definitely boosts productivity by cutting down on repetitive work.

Cons

Because it's still a fairly new tool the plugin ecosystem and community support aren't as developed as they are with older IDEs. Every now and then the AI suggestions miss the mark a bit so some manual tweaking is still needed.
