Pros

Using the system isn't difficult and it's simple to go back and pull up things from the past when needed.

Cons

One thing missing is when setting up a transfer for an item like a car or pickup truck, there isn't a class code option to choose from. It would be helpful to have a vehicle code available to cover that.

Once you get familiar with the program it's very simple and you can move through tasks pretty quickly.

Uploading photos could be more user-friendly and viewing accounts could be clearer for new employees who aren't very familiar with the system yet.

Navigating AMS feels very simple and self-explanatory. Finding reports, adding an asset or deleting one is simple and quick. Customer support also responds fast and has been very helpful whenever any issues come up.

Cons

The one improvement I'd make would be the inventory search, specifically making it easier to locate an item by typing in the type of item I'm looking for.

Having all the asset information stored in one place is really helpful.

Importing is pretty complex, the search keeps resetting to the default settings which makes finding things more complicated than it should be and there are too many layers to click through when entering purchase or financial information.

The system feels very simple to use, the reports are simple to run and it's convenient to move back and forth between screens while working through detailed entries.

Since it was pretty different from the software platform we used before, there was a bit of a learning curve at first but the support team was extremely helpful throughout that process.

Right from the start, the software feels very user-friendly. The interface is clean and well organized which makes everything easy to read and simple to move through.

I'm not a fan of the search feature. The older version handled that option much better.

There's a really good range of fields available for data entry which gives me a lot of flexibility when putting information in.

The report writer still needs some work. I'd like the option to build reports using any field in the system.

Getting around the system is pretty simple and making changes when needed is simple enough. That's really the biggest advantage I've noticed.

Getting help with transfers isn't very simple and assistance is usually needed to complete them. I also wish it included a built-in feature for actually handling inventory especially scanning, instead of having to rely on separate software. It would be much better if everything were integrated so updates didn't have to be done manually.

It keeps all the details for every asset in one place, from the original purchase all the way through retirement, along with the tracking that happens in between.

Cons

One downside is that you can't search for employees using their S number or ID number. Also, inventory comes as a separate module instead of being included in the core AMP package.

Pros

It does a good job of tracking assets across different agencies. We can enter serial numbers, monitor depreciation and move assets from one agency to another without much trouble.

Cons

The system can't electronically import data from other systems or accept EDI from other vendors' databases which makes that part more limiting.
