“It needs training but can optimize work orders
Pros
This software helps organize work orders and provides a central hub for monitoring equipment and facility status. It allows you to track recurring issues, ensuring they get properly addressed. By identifying frequent breakdowns, it also aids in making smarter purchasing decisions. The ability to assign priorities to work orders helps distinguish between urgent tasks and routine maintenance.
Cons
This software requires extensive training and the initial implementation can be challenging. Many users struggled with assigning tasks correctly at first. It would help if the fields had clearer descriptions so users know exactly what information to enter. Otherwise, managers end up having to review and edit each order to ensure it's assigned properly.

“Great solution for managing calibration tasks
Pros
A great tool for managing the Calibration Maintenance Program. It allows you to set up assets, define ranges and set due dates according to your needs. The system runs queries that can be used to develop metrics and reports for the department. It also generates reports for each calibration performed and allows users to create, schedule and route work orders for review and closure.
Cons
It has room for improvement. It's not very easy and requires significant training. However, with regular use and refresher sessions, navigation becomes much easier. The software can also be slow at times, and reports may take a while to generate.

“Excellent system for handling maintenance requests
Pros
Blue Mountain streamlined maintenance requests that were previously managed through emails, which often got lost and were unreliable for tracking.
Cons
I haven't found anything I dislike about Blue Mountain.

“Powerful software, though its UI is a bit clunky
Pros
It is so easy to review and finalize assets, and the software's filtering tools make it easy to sort through large amounts of data. Notifications keep users updated on asset changes.
Cons
The interface is clunky and getting a new user fully set up takes time because there are so many steps involved in making even minor changes. The 25MB file upload limit also causes issues, often requiring reports to be split into multiple parts.

“Used for both calibrations and maintenance on site
Pros
Blue Mountain RAM effectively manages preventive maintenance, work orders, and calibrations in a single system. It provides detailed reports for each piece of equipment and ensures great tracking with automated notifications for upcoming tasks.
Cons
Understanding the software takes time, likely due to its extensive functionality, which may not always be fully utilized.

“Hard to use for most users
Pros
This software delivers everything needed in a web-based platform for tracking and managing company assets. Many of its features are designed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while also providing a way to track and analyze activities across an organization.
Cons
The software is not user friendly and the security measures feel excessive. Setting up and implementing it takes months, possibly even a year, to fully train operators. Simplicity is not a strong point of this system. Configuring it has been frustrating, as the software's architecture is deeply layered and difficult to modify for specific needs. The manuals are hundreds of pages long, making it overwhelming for the average user. Many users struggle with even the simplest tasks and the system floods the company with excessive email notifications, making it easy for employees to ignore approval requests and other important alerts.
