flexible and user-friendly tool

Pros

Using the system has been simple for me and the customization options give me enough flexibility to adjust it based on my needs.

Cons

Right out of the box, the software was missing some of the features and functionality we needed.

helpful support and custom reports

Pros

Any time I've needed help, their tech support has been really reliable. They've assisted with building different reports and I've never had to sit through long hold times when calling them.

Cons

One thing that would really improve it is support for fractions with liquids. For instance, with paint, a painter may only use half a gallon but I still have to bill the job for a full gallon which ends up throwing off inventory.

good fit for complex programs

Pros

Book can be tailored extensively to match the needs of different programs. We rely on it a lot to track property across two separate government programs, even when those assets are spread across multiple theaters of operation. It has worked very well for us and has been a successful solution overall.

Cons

Users can handle quite a bit of the customization on their own but for some of the more advanced changes I've still had to depend on support to get the job done.

feature-packed and very useful tool

Pros

From my experience, the software has been really impressive overall. It comes with a wide range of features and even though I haven't explored all of them yet, I can tell they have a lot of potential to be useful as I keep working with it.

Cons

Customer support has gotten worse since the company was acquired by a new owner.

reliable support and simple workflow

Pros

Getting around the system has been easy for me and whenever I ran into something I couldn't figure out, support responded quickly and helped me resolve it without much delay.

Cons

One frustration is exporting reports to Microsoft Excel. When a report has more than 10,000 line items, it exports as a comma-separated values file instead. To get the export to work properly, I have to split the report by date which leaves me with two or more separate reports to combine afterward.

great setup

Pros

Using user groups along with dispatch actions has given me a lot of control over how the system is set up. I like that I can adjust things in a way that makes sense for my team and it still stays easy for end users to work with. The import tool has also been very helpful when I need to upload large amounts of data like equipment, locations, or requests.

Cons

Setting up PM schedules is pretty tedious and time-consuming. There also doesn't seem to be any clear option for importing a large batch of PM schedules. On top of that, the mobile app hasn't had any updates in over a year which means known bugs still haven't been fixed and no meaningful enhancements have been added.

user-friendly work order flow

Pros

Right from the start, I felt comfortable using the app. I can quickly pull up work orders and add time, photos, documents and notes when closing them. Moving between different work orders is smooth for me and the history feature makes it easy to go back and review previous ones whenever needed.

Cons

Every now and then, the app's certificates expire and that can create some issues but overall it works very well most of the time.

Pros

Being able to adjust fields and control what data points are included has been a big advantage for me. It gives me more control over how information is managed.

powerful preventive maintenance tools

Pros

A major reason this works well for me is the preventive maintenance module. It helps me stay on top of maintenance tasks which is important for running operations properly. I also really like the auto-email feature because it allows me to send reports and updates automatically which keeps me informed without extra effort.

Cons

At this point, I really don't have any complaints. Anytime a problem or glitch comes up, the IT team takes care of it right away. We also have a weekly online meeting with our IT representative and most of our concerns get resolved during that meeting itself.

friendly interface but steeper setup

Pros

The layout is easy for me to understand and adding users is simple. Once I'm in the system, I can work without confusion.

Cons

Getting started took more training than expected and the initial onboarding was a bit more involved than I originally thought.

fantastic work orders and support

Pros

Creating work orders doesn't take much time for me since I only need to fill in a few fields. Once contacts are added, notifications are sent automatically when something changes which keeps everyone updated. Setting up preventive maintenance schedules is also quick, with clear steps to follow. I've had a great experience with support as well, since the team responds quickly and helps right away, even with more technical changes. I also find the pricing for both the software and support to be reasonable compared to other options.

Cons

Honestly, there is very little to complain about because it fits our needs really well. The only thing I would still want improved is the reporting system, since it could be a bit more user-friendly. That said, it already handles most of the reports we need so it is not a major issue. We would just save some time if report creation felt a little more simple.

real-time workload visibility

Pros

Having real-time visibility into workloads has been very helpful for me. I can see clear numbers that make planning and forecasting easier and technicians can also track their own performance better. I also like that I can adjust how the system works to match my needs.

Cons

At the beginning, there are quite a few different screens and terms to learn so it can take some time to get comfortable with it.

Pros

Managing ongoing jobs and projects feels much more under control for me because I can clearly see where everything stands at any point.

Cons

At times, communication isn't very clear so some details can get lost in translation and there are occasional glitches.

stellar support and great integration

Pros

From the implementation stage, my experience was better than expected. The integration with our SCADA system worked well and the team was knowledgeable and willing to share what they knew. I also appreciated how honest they were about the platform's capabilities which helped me set the right expectations internally.

Cons

There really isn't much to complain about. I'd almost have to invent an issue. If I had to mention one thing, it would be nice to have someone local for support but not having a local contact hasn't actually caused any problems for us.
