“Simple data entry replaces paper notes”
Pros
Working with Elara is very simple and entering data happens quickly. In day-to-day use, that has helped us get rid of a lot of paper notes because the team actually sees a benefit in using Elara instead of writing things down on slips of paper. A nice side effect is that we now end up with much more complete and transparent documentation of our processes.
Cons
The document management part still feels like it is in beta. There is no inheritance for documents and uploaded files cannot really be edited at the object level. There also is not a proper document overview yet. You can definitely tell Elara is backed by a startup. The people behind it are very committed and capable but the implementation process takes longer than expected. The product seems to be gaining traction quickly and at times that creates an imbalance between the number of customers and the available staff.

Works across different platforms and doesn't require any on-premise installation which makes it very convenient to use.
Cons
A lot of features still aren't implemented well enough to really deliver value in some areas. For example, availability reporting is limited by insufficient shift calendars and spare parts management still requires manual parts deduction instead of handling it retroactively.

Pros
Getting the software up and running in our day-to-day operations wasn't complicated at all. At the beginning, we did need to build some awareness and acceptance around introducing a new system but that's pretty normal with any new software rollout. It didn't take long for everyone to notice that their processes were improving and after that, using it became second nature.
Cons
Right now what's missing is tenant integration since in some cases multiple companies or locations need to work in parallel.

Pros
Right from the start, the interface makes a very good impression because it looks appealing and well designed. The system is simple to use and simple to navigate. It helps make sure nothing gets forgotten and during meetings all the necessary information is always available as long as you have your phone or a similar device with you. Recurring jobs are simple to set up and manage and overall it really improves teamwork while making communication much better.
Cons
It would be even better if each object could have multiple task intervals based on operating hours. At the moment, only one interval can be assigned but several are needed to fully cover all required tasks. It would also be very useful if tasks could be created automatically after a failed inspection especially since all the relevant information already exists in the previous tasks. A built-in chat where you could message teams or individual users would also be a helpful addition.

The part I appreciate most is how tasks can be assigned especially with recurring tasks included. It's also really useful to be able to keep track of how a task is progressing.
