asset visibility done right

Pros

eSSETS gives us a clear bird's-eye view of all our equipment assets and makes them much easier to track and manage in one place.

Cons

Once we start working with an in-house service and repair team, I'm confident the work order feature in eSSETS will end up being really useful.

Contractor management made simple

Pros

Managing contractors for our projects with eSSETS has been very simple and convenient.

Powerful asset tracking value

Pros

eSSETS has been a very cost-effective yet capable asset management system for us. It covers a lot of ground, from a flexible asset registry to a complete maintenance management setup. Right now, we use it to manage assets across 8 different restaurant locations, with the option to view everything from one central dashboard or by each location separately. For every asset, we can store equipment specifications, warranty details and the history of related work orders. It also lets us log money spent on equipment and monitor depreciation over time. One thing I really appreciate is how adaptable the software is..it works well for a wide range of needs, even beyond the use cases it was originally designed for. The eSSETS team was very hands-on during implementation and gave us useful input on improving our workflow. They're highly responsive to feedback and clearly committed to making the platform better. We rarely run into bugs and when we do report something, it gets resolved quickly.

Cons

Visually eSSETS doesn't have the polished or flashy look that some of the other platforms we considered had and the interface feels a bit dated at first. That said once you get familiar with it, that becomes much less of an issue because the system is simple to use and its deeper functionality really starts to stand out as you explore it. A few areas especially the preventive maintenance section, could be more organized but it seems the team is already aware of that and actively working on improvements.

organized inventory and maintenance

Pros

Before we started using eSSETS, keeping up with inventory, maintenance requests and equipment repairs was a total nightmare. Now everything is much more organized and it's an amazing tool for staying on top of it all.

Cons

Honestly there's nothing I dislike about eSSETS. It's amazing.

Reliable tracking and support

Pros

Running our operation is a lot more manageable with eSSETS. It stays on top of the hours and mileage for all of our heavy equipment and service trucks and it lets us know when PM is due for each unit. I can enter work orders for our mechanics and maintenance team and it also shows how long each work order has been open. It's quick to pull up the history when I need to see how many times a piece of equipment has been repaired. We've been using eSSETS for a little over two years now and we've been very happy with both the program and the customer support.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see improved is how retired equipment or service trucks appear in the system. It would help a lot if the text turned red so retired units stood out more clearly from active ones when searching in the Things menu. Another change I miss is how photos used to display directly in the Things menu for our heavy equipment and service trucks. Now we have to click the photo icon to see them and I preferred the old setup. Since I'm constantly going in and out of the equipment list, having the photo visible right there made it faster to confirm I was looking at the correct unit.

simple setup, excellent support

Pros

After comparing eight different software options, eSSETS ended up being the clear choice for our seven clinics. Six of the others felt overly difficult while this one seemed much more simple. The setup process was very simple and both the initial training and the ongoing support have been excellent. We work with a lot of specialty medical equipment contractors for service and preventive maintenance and using eSSETS to schedule and track those PMs has really helped us organize our operations.

Maintenance productivity boost

Pros

Since we started using eSSETS, every part of my maintenance department has been running better. It's impressive how much productivity improves when everything is organized and this software really makes that happen. The service side has been a big plus too. From implementation and training to ongoing support, they've been there for me through every step of the process.

Cons

There isn't an iPhone app available which is a downside. It would be better to have dedicated apps supported on a wider range of mobile devices.

Cloud access and phenomenal support

Pros

Being fully cloud-based is a big plus with eSSETS since it lets me access everything anytime and from anywhere with an internet connection. The customer support has also been absolutely fantastic.

Cons

I haven't come across any function in the program that feels unusable. On top of that, the vendor support has been phenomenal.

helpful work orders and support

Pros

Getting the hang of this system doesn't take long. The vendor is quick to respond whenever we need guidance and the Work Order App has been very effective for staff when submitting requests. It also helps that my team can claim and take ownership of a task without waiting for me to assign it manually.

Cons

Setting up and scheduling certain recurring tasks could be better. We're currently working with the vendor to see how that part can be improved.
