fantastic mobile-friendly feature set

Pros

Getting started with the interface was very simple, even for first-time users. It really makes good use of whichever mobile platform you choose, the built-in features are excellent right out of the box and whenever we've wanted something added, InterPro has been able to make it happen.

Cons

A few errors can still be somewhat hard to diagnose and setting up offline mode takes more effort than expected.

quick Maximo transition

Pros

Switching from Maximo to this new system doesn't take much training so users can get comfortable and start working with it pretty quickly.

Cons

One challenge is putting together cycle count reports that clearly separate counts done on terminals from those completed on iPads.

Simple mobile upgrade

Pros

The app feels very simple and it's just a much better, more mobile-friendly way to work with Maximo.

Cons

There really isn't much to complain about. If I had to point to something, it would be nice if users could personalize their own views or screens without needing to roll those changes out to everyone or maintain separate versions for different users.

User-friendly and responsive

Pros

Training people on it has been just as simple. On the rare occasions we've needed help, the service team has been quick to respond and very helpful which says a lot..though the fact that we hardly need support is a good sign in itself.

Cons

Honestly nothing comes to mind. Even the items we've discussed as part of our future plans already seem to be covered.

Flexible online and offline access

Pros

Using it has been very simple especially because it works well in both real-time online mode and offline mode. Another big advantage is that most updates or customizations made in the desktop process can also be integrated into the mobile app without much trouble.

Cons

The biggest downsides are the overall cost of using it and the need for better sync performance.

fully integrated with maximo

Pros

Right from the start, EZMaxMobile felt completely tied into Maximo and all of its business objects. Any change made in the Maximo database shows up on the mobile app right away which makes the whole system feel connected and reliable.

Cons

Only setback came when moving from a Windows server to a Linux server since that transition created a few issues.

Fast sync and lightweight setup

Pros

Getting this software up and running was very simple. If it ever needs to be removed, the uninstall process is just as clean and simple. It requires very little configuration, doesn't need a separate database and runs well without demanding many resources. It performs reliably with both online and offline connections and the synchronization with the Maximo database is quick and smooth.

Cons

One area that could be better is the amount of documentation especially a proper user manual. That said our environment is heavily customized for our specific needs so InterPro isn't fully to blame for that.

Smooth maximo mobile link

Pros

Using this mobile solution has been very simple. The way it connects with Maximo works really well and doesn't come with a lot of frustration.

Cons

It would be helpful if security permissions were accessible within EMM especially for showing or hiding fields. That may already be possible but if it is, I haven't been able to find where to manage it.

flexible offline sync workflow

Pros

Having both offline and online functionality makes this work really well for our team. The sync features have been very useful in day-to-day use and the system can be customized to fit CMMS requirements. The GUI is also user-friendly and fits the workflow nicely.

Cons

It is a bit on the expensive side and it would be even better if there were an automatic sync option.

This platform covers our business needs well and is simple to use. The app stays current with regular version updates, service packs and patch fixes and the technical team also provides support when clients need help with integration.

Complete ready-made apps

Pros

EZMaxMobile includes a complete set of ready-made apps for working with Maximo and it's fairly simple to customize them when you need to adjust an existing app or build one from scratch. Deployment and overall setup are relatively simple and the support team has been very helpful. Compared with other options out there, Interpro's EZMaxMobile delivers really strong value for the price.

Cons

A few of the system error messages are pretty unclear and the logging could definitely be better although that may be partly related to the way we implemented the solution.

fast training and excellent support

Pros

Most users who are comfortable with smartphones can learn the majority of the features in under an hour. Admin and security are handled within the core Maximo system so the only extra step for EZMaxMobile is adding users to the appropriate security group. Everything else follows the standard Maximo security model. Making software changes is also fairly simple and direct. InterPro's support has been outstanding as well..they respond quickly to requests and often come up with creative, outside-the-box solutions.

Cons

Honestly I can't think of anything negative to say about this product.

Clean interface and focused tools

Pros

Everything feels organized and built around the information users actually need. The interface stays clean, without extra clutter or features buried under endless menus which makes it much more practical to use.

Cons

One downside is that the software requires a separate Derby database to keep running under a user account the entire time. That setup can create problems during restarts if the account does not log in automatically.

custom fit for changing needs

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is how Interpro can tailor the software as our business needs change. It also keeps the interface focused by only showing the information needed to finish a specific task which makes it much simpler to use than the full Maximo version.

Cons

There are occasional sync problems. Every now and then, a mobile device runs into an error and will not reconnect with the server unless the error logs on the device are manually removed.

Maximo anywhere without retraining

Pros

Having Maximo available wherever we go has easily been the biggest advantage of this product. It's the only solution we've seen that really mirrors the desktop Maximo experience on a mobile device and that mattered a lot for our team. We have an older workforce and they really didn't want to relearn everything through a completely different interface. Another major plus is how simple the software is to configure. If you have someone on site who knows Java well, applying fixes and updates along the way is pretty simple. And if you don't have that expertise in-house, Interpro has been incredibly responsive whenever configuration help is needed. Honestly they've been fantastic to work with throughout the whole process.

Cons

There really haven't been many downsides with the software itself. The only meaningful challenge at our site has been getting some of the older employees comfortable with using mobile apps at work.
