Pros

Any time a question comes up or we run into a problem, the support team is excellent and really helpful.

Cons

There's honestly nothing about the software worth complaining about, it does everything we need it to do.

all-in-one teamwork boost

Pros

Having everything gathered in one place really helps our team stay aligned and work together more effectively. The product is simple to use and all the information we need is available in a single system.

Cons

One downside is that we still don't have a full understanding of every feature Fieldmotion offers so there are probably tools available that we aren't using yet.

Handy job scheduling app

Pros

The integration with our existing systems was also pretty simple and being able to attach pictures to job sheets is a really useful bonus. And assigning jobs straight to engineers through the app on their phones has been incredibly valuable.

Cons

It would be even better if videos could be added especially for showing system failures or confirming everything is working after a repair or installation. Push notifications when jobs are sent to engineers would also be a helpful addition.

excellent support and quick setup

Pros

Getting started was simple and it was simple to set up and use. On top of that the team has been incredibly supportive whenever needed.

Cons

The only minor downside is the training but honestly it hasn't been a major issue.

fantastic efficiency and accurate tracking

Pros

One of the biggest benefits has been the operational efficiency and accuracy it gives us. We've also been able to adapt the Fieldmotion system so it keeps track of all our Cryotanks gas transfers which has been really valuable.

Cons

Whenever any issue has come up, Aodhan has gone above and beyond to make sure we get the best possible solution.

better structure, better data

Pros

Bringing this product into the business really pushed our processes in the right direction. The results were noticeable straight away and the improvement in data quality was significant. It also helped us take a step back, rethink how this area should work and add much better structure to this part of the business.

Cons

We haven't run into any problems and the planned future development lines up well with what our business needs.

Digital customer data win

Pros

Having all our customer information, history and future planning available digitally has made the biggest difference to our business. After putting similar systems in place at other companies, I was a bit worried about how much work it would take to get started and move all our data across. Those concerns were dealt with very quickly by the team and the setup and implementation ended up being far more simple than I expected.

Cons

For the way we use the system, remote access for the administrator when away from the desktop is missing. An app similar to the one used for completing reports would be really useful. I understand it would be hard to include every feature but even a simplified version that lets you raise a quote or schedule an appointment while out in the field would do the job.

real-time updates and auto worksheets

Pros

One of the best parts is getting real-time data back from our engineers which keeps everything up to date as the job happens. Another feature that works really well is the automatic sending of worksheets to customers and that has been a big benefit for us.

Cons

The only thing we don't use it for is invoicing since it isn't compatible with Sage 50 Accounts. If that integration existed, we'd definitely be using it for that side of the business too.

Pros

Being able to go completely paperless has been a huge benefit and the offline functionality is really valuable whenever an internet connection isn't available.

Cons

Custom forms and cleaner setup

Pros

One of the main reasons we chose the app in the first place was the level of form customization and being able to strip out the features we didn�t need made it feel much less cluttered.

Cons

A few small things come to mind here and there while using the software but nothing major. If we could ask for one improvement, it would be on the quoting side especially for managing larger, project-style quotes although that starts to move more into CRM territory.

Professional job cards that impress

Pros

Using this product has been very simple and the detailed job cards, including pictures, are sent directly to customers. They come across as very professional.

Cons

The only complaint from our technicians is that filling out the job card can take quite a bit of time.

Bespoke feel at a fair price

Pros

It strikes a really good balance between an off-the-shelf product and something that feels tailored to our needs. With the enhancements available and a few practical workarounds, it ends up feeling quite bespoke without losing that ready-made convenience.

Cons

still there are a few limitations since it's an off-the-shelf system. That said considering the price, it feels reasonable and in most cases there are workarounds or close alternatives that let us achieve what we need.

time-saving scheduling and customisation

Pros

Getting Fieldmotion set up around our business was simple and the customisation process was simple with help from their very responsive support team. It makes it really convenient to document everything we need for a survey or job, whether that's attaching photos or collecting customer signatures. The scheduling feature works very well too and it has saved our business a lot of time.

Cons

No major downsides for us.. everything we need the software to handle, it does effectively.

Powerful features and top support

Pros

Even after a year of using the software, I'm still coming across new features and different ways to get things done which really shows how powerful it is. On top of that, the support team has been excellent.. very responsive and consistently helpful.

Cons

At the time of writing, the current app is decent but still feels a bit limited although it's due for a major overhaul in late 2022. The calendar and timeline view is also acceptable but it doesn't really work for us since we were used to having more functionality in our previous software. It does the job, just not in a particularly impressive way.

reliable tools that save time

Pros

Fieldmotion gives us a solid operational framework and works really well as a communication tool. The system is simple so there was very little training needed for the team to get comfortable with it. It saves a lot of time, is cost-effective and brings clear benefits to customers as well.

Cons

Getting a system like this set up is never anyone's favorite task but in reality the rollout was quick and simple. The engineers got the hang of it almost immediately too.

Xero integration is a mess

Pros

At first glance, this seemed like a decent enough product but in reality it feels very buggy and hard to use. A few features were acceptable though not many. We originally chose it because of the Xero integration but frustratingly, there's no real way to see how that works until after you've already bought the software.

Cons

The Xero integration is awful. It creates a separate customer for every one of their sites so when a customer asks for a statement, you can't send a single combined one and instead have to send statements for each site individually which takes far too much time. If an inventory item is unavailable, the system simply doesn't send the invoice to Xero and gives no warning or message about it. On top of that, trying to locate worksheets, invoices or anything connected to a customer is unnecessarily difficult.
