Pros

Fieldshare has been really useful for my team and me when it comes to adding and sharing details about completed work and the next steps. The interface feels friendly and I especially appreciate that entries appear in chronological order which makes tracking down specific updates much simpler.

Cons

The mobile app is a bit less user-friendly than the desktop version. Getting around the app and creating new entries could definitely be more simple.

Pros

Having all of our projects displayed together on a map with complete site details has really improved the way we manage everything. The ability to customize the data we need, filter projects and keep track of both past and upcoming activities helps us avoid losing sites in the shuffle. I also value being able to build custom forms, like Daily Field Reports or Change of Scope forms, whenever needed.

Cons

There was definitely some adjustment and a bit of a learning curve when we switched to Fieldshare but their team has always been very helpful with training, support and accommodating what we need.

Pros

This platform has been really useful for staying connected with the companies that hire us. It gives us a simple way to share real-time information with clients and the interactive map is especially helpful for visualizing grouped work and verifying locations.

Cons

The reporting features seem like they could be improved a little. That said we also haven't explored that side of the platform very deeply yet so there are probably more capabilities there than we currently realize.

Fieldshare can handle a wide range of tasks and it's been a really strong tool overall.

One area that could be better is navigating back out from the Dashboard. A few dashboard features could also use some refinement or extra tutorial guidance especially to make the search tool easier to understand and use effectively.

It brings together the functionality of several different tools.. mapping, spreadsheets and databases.. into one central place that both our team and external collaborators can use and contribute to. The project management side is very well done and the cost and budget features are especially strong.

Cons

Whenever something has been missing, we've generally been able to work around it or have it customized by the Fieldshare team. The app currently doesn't handle the number of sites we manage but we're optimistic that future upgrades will make it a better fit for us.

Changing a password as a regular user instead of an administrator isn't very convenient. I also wish there were an option to remember my password or auto-fill it once I enter my username.

The map view is really useful for checking site attributes at a glance. Daily cost tracking and the dashboard are both valuable features and exporting data is simple so it can be manipulated further without much trouble.

Cons

One thing missing is better integration with other systems like PowerBI, AFE Navigator and OpenInvoice/OpenTicket.

Managing data across multiple sites has been a big plus for us especially with different project managers and staff all contributing to the same database.

There really aren't any issues at this point. The only challenge is that some users need quite a bit of encouragement to move away from the old spreadsheet-based way of storing data.

Getting started with the software feels very simple which made the implementation process simple and fast.

Importing shape files can be better since that process could be quicker and a bit more user-friendly.

it already comes with a lot of built-in functionality and their programming team feels strong, responsive and closely connected.

At the time I was using it, the mobile version was still being developed and hadn't launched yet although that may have changed since then.
