Best CMMS Software I've Used

Pros

FSI's software is easy to navigate and use. It's not overly complicated but includes all the essential features needed in a CMMS.

Cons

The reporting module is my least favorite part. The reports are pre-configured, and there are hundreds of them, making it difficult to find the one I need.

Hospital Environment of Care Rounds (EOC)

Pros

I like being able to add a picture to the finding and generate work orders directly from the round.

Cons

I don't like the lack of control over an individual site. Not being able to add or remove people from department contact lists and not being able to select the correct person to send a finding to is frustrating. For example, a department director is not going to clean a ceiling vent or sprinkler head. Our last program referenced the Joint Commission chapter and element of performance for each finding.

Easy use for Asset management

Pros

The product is easy to use and, therefore, easy to train new hires. It maintains our equipment and helps us stay compliant by keeping us organized with schedules and inventory. I appreciate that they are always open to improvements and staying current with technology.

CMS is vital in performing our Maintenance and PM's.

Pros

I am still figuring out how to work with the software and I know I am not using it to its full capability.

Cons

Some features are not as straightforward as I'd prefer, but I'm learning more as I continue using the program.

Invaluable for regulatory compliance management

Pros

We rolled out this software across 135 hospitals and continue to expand. The product allows our organization to standardize customized preventive maintenance and planned event procedures and schedules, which can be updated companywide in real time. FSI's support staff are always available and willing to customize software and generate custom reports as needed.

Cons

Occasionally, obtaining detailed reports on individual hospitals within the system was challenging.

Cons

The product is slow. I have to run it in separate browsers for workflow. There's a slow turnaround on build requests, no history of major moves, and developers need more input from end users.

Web based system is easy

Pros

The web-based system is great for access from anywhere.

Cons

Sometimes things seem to go missing, and we're not sure why. We think something works one way, but it doesn't, which can be confusing.

Pros

Apart from the work order management module, I think CMS Rounding and CMS View are excellent. There is a lot of potential for other departments to use it as well, not just engineering. We currently use CMS Rounding for environments of care rounding. Our behavioral health department has also used CMS Rounding, working directly with FSI's team to build what they needed.

Cons

It would be beneficial if there was an easy way to transfer requests to our facilities design and construction office, which uses a different system for managing work and projects. This isn't necessarily a con but an opportunity for future integration.

Continued development and customer service focused

Pros

I'm a big fan of FSI. Their customer service is unmatched, especially compared to other software companies. Outstanding continuous support is one of their strongest points, and their staff members are dedicated to helping hospitals navigate these complex transitions. When I have a question, I know exactly who to contact. FSI's CMMS allows for incredibly accurate, actionable reporting. Leadership can quickly switch between hospital segments and see how many work orders each site is receiving and the types of work requests being made because our data is consistent across all hospitals. This was a significant benefit of adopting a standardized CMMS, as it helps everyone align on reporting, evaluating staffing levels, and understanding the types of work being done and where.

Cons

There's honestly not much I dislike. We've been customers since Fall 2012, and there has been continuous development and enhancement of the entire package with ongoing feature growth.
