Overall, GP MaTe does a good job tracking inventory but since it's not integrated with our Purchasing System, all entries have to be done manually.

It requires a fair amount of training and some navigation isn't very seamless. We primarily used it for a project in Venezuela but that project was put on hold in early 2016, so we are no longer actively using GP MaTe.

“This has been a good software for us

I found the software to be useful, versatile, userfriendly and flexible. It allowed me to generate different reports, which was a huge help in my role as a Materials Manager for Tacoa Power Barges in Venezuela.

I use the software daily in the Purchasing department. It's essential for procuring items, searching previous orders, and reviewing work orders. Quick and efficient search functionality is crucial for us since I often have someone waiting on me to retrieve past purchase details and tie them to specific equipment.

Cons

Searching for vendor ID numbers and company names could be improved for faster results. We've also had issues when entering more than 50 line items, GP MaTe has crashed in those cases. That said, it does have some great features that we use daily and it's very userfriendly overall.

My experience with GP MaTe's support staff has been excellent, so I have no complaints.

“A top-tier software solution

Pros

We have been using GP MaTe at our power plant facilities since the 1980s, from its DOS-based version to the current Windows application. It's an excellent tool for managing maintenance activities, inventory control, purchasing, and accounts payable. The reporting capabilities are outstanding offering both pre-built reports and the ability to create custom reports to fit our needs.

Cons

We have three separate facilities at the same physical location. It would be helpful to switch between "Companies" the way QuickBooks allows.

Planning and scheduling could be made easier. One major drawback is the inability to build custom reports without relying on a third party report writer. It would be great to select the data needed and generate reports independently.

GP MaTe is a good fit for small companies, offering stable performance in operations and maintenance. It strongly supports maintenance management through work orders, spare parts, and purchasing modules, while additional budget, personnel and accounting modules serve as useful references.

I think personnel and budgeting features could use some improvements.
