Great experience with iMaint, highly recommended!

Pros

A highly flexible and comprehensive maintenance management database platform with excellent customer support.

Cons

Implementing a CMMS is a big challenge for any maintenance organization and requires a lot of effort.

It has good features

Pros

I really like the filter search options, I use them all the time. The ability to switch views is also great and I mostly toggle between Datasheet and Tab. For the most part, the system is intuitive and easy to figure out.

Cons

I find the system a bit quirky to use but I am mostly self taught. I suspect some of the quirks come from how we've set up and configured the modules at the administrative level.

Good and flexible tool

Pros

The functionality is great and it's easy to use and follow.

Cons

I wish there was a better parts tree, similar to the asset tree. Alternatively, it would be great if the asset tree could branch out more instead of being so singular.

Truly exceptional

Pros

Once everything is set up, the system is very easy to use.

Cons

Setting up all the initial data is difficult and requires support from iMaint.

Good but the planning side needs to be improved

Pros

Since I use many sections, I have to navigate through different areas frequently. Inventory management is easy and adding quick parts is easy, though uploading from a spreadsheet isn't available. Purchasing has some useful features but the workflow doesn't always fit well. I'd suggest working with buyers to refine the terms. Receiving, however, is very simple, I just started using that section and it has been smooth so far.

Cons

I think the planning side isn't very smooth especially when trying to queue and schedule items across multiple lines. Reports also need a lot of work , many don't fit industrial applications, so we have to modify them, which unfortunately means we lose support.

Exceptional 5-star support service

Pros

My coworkers who use the software really like it. I'm writing this review specifically for the customer support team.

Cons

Not much to complain about. Being in IT, I appreciate that I don't have to dedicate much time to managing the program because it just works.

Packed with features but takes effort to master

Pros

iMaint offers a lot of features like toooo many. The customer support is great but I found myself needing it more often than expected.

Cons

Setting up simple repeating PMs involves too many steps. It's more complicated than it needs to be.

Great features to use

Pros

Feature-rich software! It is very sophisticated and provides a lot of detail.

Cons

The system is generally easy to use but the learning curve is steep for general users. I think the screen layout contributes to this, it looks more complex than it needs to be. If there was a way to simplify the interface and make it more user friendly, it would help a lot.

Customizable features tailored to business needs

Pros

We previously used PMC for maintenance tracking but we had issues with server connectivity, leading to data loss. After switching to iMaint's cloud based service, those problems disappeared. It also offers better database search options.

Cons

Some features that PMC had, like automatically opening a document after export, aren't available in it. This adds extra steps to processes we handle daily.

9 years of using iMaint and counting

Pros

I like that I can skip unnecessary fields when creating a work order, it speeds things up.

Cons

I think some fields could be better defined. It would be helpful to have an icon users could click on for more information.

It has been a great tool for us

Pros

The dashboard has become an essential management tool for our department. We can efficiently run five different groups with just one software package.

Cons

It is resource-intensive during the initial implementation. It also requires knowledgeable personnel to maintain it efficiently.

Managing fleet operations smoothly with iMaint

Pros

iMaint simplifies equipment record keeping from start to finish, making it easy to enter assets, track parts and schedule maintenance.

Cons

Order of input when creating a work order could be improved. It seems like the information on the unit procedure page should be included on the first input page for better workflow.
