“the top expert choice for logos”
Pros
With Adobe Illustrator's strong tools for vector design, you can make excellent, high-resolution graphics that stay perfectly sharp at any size. Now I know why it is the top choice for experts in the field who focus on logos, artwork and custom lettering.
Cons
The program can be pretty complicated for someone just starting out needing a serious time investment to learn. It also uses a lot of your computers power and can make older machines run very slowly.

“An all-in-one creative studio”
Pros
Best part is that it is like an all in one studio. You can retouch photos, work on text layouts and model 3D objects. Tools like the smoothing brush and the pen tool are part of my everyday workflow. The perspective grid is also a big help for visualizing depth and all the tiny adjustments you can make to each tool really boost the final quality.
Cons
I noticed a few glitches that pop up when you try to save your work which can be irritating.

“leading choice for digital art”
Pros
Adobe Illustrator has been my program for years and it remains one of the leading software choices for vector design. It runs smoothly even with massive files and with some basic know-how, you can easily design characters, logos, backgrounds, full environments and any other digital art.
Cons
Let me tell you that you need some prior knowledge to use it effectively. The price is also a bit on the high side.

“the graphic artist's fav tool”
Pros
Throughout my long career as a graphic artist Illustrator has been my main program. It was always enjoyable to use for making artwork destined for print. Managing the layers and using the toolbox was quite easy too and it also came with a good library of fonts and color palettes.
Cons
It definitely required more time to learn because of the sheer number of things it can do. Mastering all its functions takes a while too but once you do it is fairly basic. However it can start to lag if your computer is older or if you have too many other applications running at the same time.

“A great partner for professional design”
Pros
It is a great resource for putting together professional-level designs. It feels like a helpful partner that supports my daily tasks.
Cons
You really need to take a training course to understand how to use it properly. And keep in mind that it is built for professional designers, not for casual, instinctive use.

“Massive toolkit and very much approachable”
Pros
What's great is how Illustrator packs in a massive set of tools and functions yet still manages to be incredibly approachable and easy to use.
Cons
There are times when it really slows my computer down and the requirement to pay a monthly fee is somewhat annoying.

“User-friendly with many helpful guides”
Pros
Moving from pixel-based images to vector graphics is not easy but Illustrator makes it possible. Video guides, simple tutorials, clear icons and a user-friendly layout are the main strengths of this program.
Cons
The only drawback if you can call it that is the huge number of tools available. I mean it would be nice if the program let you choose a simplified interface for a more effective first experience.

“Unbelievably powerful for detailed art”
Pros
Illustrator is unbelievably powerful because of everything it lets you create. I can make complex vector art with absolute, precise detail. The entire toolkit and how it connects with other Adobe programs completely changes and improves how you get projects done.
Cons
One disadvantage is that the software feels a bit overwhelming when you are first learning it. I mean there are so many features that it's easy to feel lost and swamped by them all.

“Over time, it's gotten too complex”
Pros
It makes vector artwork that you can resize however you want and then you can bring that work into plenty of other different software programs.
Cons
Over time it's become too complex. The older versions of it were much easier to navigate. There are now more functions than I, as an illustrator will ever personally need. I am also not pleased about having to pay a yearly subscription fee.

“was good, now declining”
Pros
The program made sense and was simple to work with. It was the industry standard once upon a time.
Cons
It is declining as they pack in more AI and remove other elements. It feels like we have less direct control over our work now. Even though they are trying to find a middle ground, the 2022 version was really solid and it's been gradually getting worse since.

“top-tier and always getting upgrades”
Pros
For any designer or creative person Adobe Illustrator is a top-tier piece of software. Plus they are always upgrading the features and finding ways to make it simpler to produce gorgeous graphics for your work.
Cons
In my opinion it does not offer enough choices for text and paragraph formatting. Plus having a broader selection would be a big help. I also think borrowing some features from InDesign would be very useful in Illustrator. The option to add text columns and layout grids would be really beneficial too.

“An excellent resource for many years”
Pros
Illustrator is a design tool I have used for many years, serving as my primary app for creating and editing logos, banners and large-scale prints. Overall it is an excellent resource for both editing and making images from scratch.
Cons
At the beginning there is a bit of difficulty in using the different tools it offers for editing but once you learn how to use them, everything changes.

Pros
