My favorite thing about illustrator is the huge number of excellent tools it provides for making really cool artwork.
Cons
The part I like least is that it can be really difficult for a person who's just starting out.

“A fantastic, adaptable design resource”
Pros
For designers Adobe Illustrator is a fantastic resource because you can produce top-notch graphics that stay perfectly clear no matter how big or small you make them. Whether you are designing a logo, drawing an illustration or planning a user interface, it lets you control every single little detail. It also connects effortlessly with other Adobe applications which simplifies handling your whole project. And I would say one of its biggest strengths is its incredible adaptability.
Cons
A few reasons I like this the least are the high price, the lack of proper photo editing tools and that it is not very easy for new users.

“perfect vector quality for sharing”
Pros
Over time I have started using and valuing illustrator more than Photoshop. As making graphics in vector format keeps their quality perfect and the option to share files as PDFs is the greatest advantage.
Cons
Some of the standard panels and tools are located in different spots across the various Adobe applications. I think putting them all in the same place would make the workflow much smoother.

“repeat and export tools are the best”
Pros
The repeat tool is quickly turning into my most-loved feature. The Asset Export function is another huge favorite as it completely changed the way I save and export Logos and all their different versions.
Cons
What bothers me is how large and unwieldy some project files become and when the software decides to crash, it really goes all out and shuts down completely.

“powerful AI makes creation easy”
Pros
Even though Adobe Illustrator takes some time to learn, its power for making custom graphics and stylized text still makes it a top choice in the industry. Getting started used to be harder but now with the addition of Firefly and generative AI, creating things has become much more easy.
Cons
Well the amount you have to learn is significant. As there is a huge number of menus and configurations to understand before you can actually make the graphics you are picturing.

“the number one drawing software”
Pros
It is easily the number one software for drawing with shapes and lines. Plus paying each month means you get every new upgrade as soon as it is ready. And it always pays attention to the artists and designers using it and considering this, they find ways to make the tool better and faster.
Cons
Honestly there is not much to complain about. I sometimes turn on the perspective grid by mistake and can never recall how to switch it off. Thats occasionally a minor irritation but that's about it.

“Amazing accuracy and total control”
Pros
What stands out to me is the amazing accuracy and total command it provides when you are working on vector-based artwork.
Cons
What I don't like is how much effort it takes to learn which is tough on newcomers. The subscription fee can also feel off-putting if you do not use it very often. It also needs a fairly capable computer to run without issues.

“the professionals essential vector tool”
Pros
Illustrator is the program that all professionals use for editing vectors. No matter if you are a career illustrator or a designer who needs to turn a logo sketch into a vector, this software has the right tools to make your ideas real.
Cons
Getting started with it requires a serious time investment. This high barrier can be challenging but once you get the hang of it, the program is so capable that it more than compensates for the initial struggle. Also keep in mind that very detailed illustrations can also slow it down if your computer is not powerful enough.
