reliable for online meetings

Pros

It handled nearly all of my online meeting needs really well.

Cons

I don't have any real complaints. If anything, I'd just like to see quicker integrations and a simpler overall setup in the future.

great video quality

Pros

Compared with most video conferencing apps, it feels very similar in a good way. It doesn't cost anything to download and it's still free to use which is a big plus. The video and audio quality are both reliably solid and I also appreciate that it sends a transcript afterward so I have something saved for my records. Screen sharing is included too which makes it practical for regular meetings.

Cons

One thing it's missing is a webinar feature. The transcript option is definitely useful and I'm glad it's there but it isn't always accurate. Every now and then a random word shows up that makes no sense so I have to think back and figure out what was actually said.

blocked by poor browser support

Pros

I ended up missing a conference I'd been really excited about because the app still hasn't been verified by Apple for compatibility with the current OS and to confirm it's virus-free. Also, the developers chose to support only Google Chrome and I'm not willing to install that browser on my computer because of privacy concerns.

Cons

This feels like careless software development. There's no good reason for developers to overlook fully legitimate and capable browsers like Firefox, Safari, Brave and others.

smart webinar tools

Pros

AnyMeeting has worked really well for the webinars and presentations I run with different organizations. The platform is simple to use and I like that I can either open it in Google Chrome or install the desktop app. Joining or getting into a meeting is also much more convenient because it uses a short number instead of one of those long links you often get with other workshop platforms. It includes useful features like video filters and phone audio and I appreciate having separate spaces for attendee chat and presenter chat. The poll and question icons are also helpful during sessions.

Cons

Just have a minor issue that when using phone audio during a presentation, it tends to mute me automatically whenever I move to the next slide or when another presenter begins talking. But other than that, its an amazing software!

Easy sharing but sync issues

Pros

Being able to share slides without having to screen share is really convenient. The recording feature and storage capacity are also excellent and it's especially useful that the platform saves the video and audio as separate tracks.

Cons

The downside is that the video and audio end up out of sync every time, no matter which browser or recording setup I use.

frustrating support!!

Pros

Back in 2015, this felt pretty simple to use and it was a more affordable option compared with something like WebEx.

Cons

At this point, newer platforms like Zoom are much simpler to work with and plenty of competitors now cost less. Also, dealing with Intermedia has been awful. Even cancelling an account turns into a frustrating, tiring and time-consuming process. AnyMeeting was much better before Intermedia bought it.

Excellent for online classes

Pros

Getting started with this software was far less intimidating than I expected. I had been nervous about using an online meeting platform especially since the others I tried before never felt very user friendly. With this one, everything was simple right from the start, from registering and setting up my account to actually using it to help teach a class. It was especially helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cons

What I liked the least was how scheduled meetings would stay at the top even after the meeting never happened and the date had already passed. I still had to open the meeting and cancel it manually, even though the scheduled time was already over. Other than this, its a 10/10 product, no complaints.

simple setup

Pros

To get the system up and running didn't take much effort and the overall setup felt fairly simple with very little complexity involved.

Cons

Once we compared it with Zoom Meetings which we eventually switched to, AnyMeeting's feature set felt too limited and just didn't offer enough for what we needed.

its really reliable

Pros

Back when I needed video conferencing software to run an online version of a course I taught, it checked all the boxes I was looking for. It had the features I needed at the time and it worked well for us.

Cons

Feature set could be improved a bit but works well right now as well!

complete device support

Pros

One thing that really works well is the support for different kinds of devices people use, whether it's a desktop screen or a mobile phone camera. The video integration on the phone with the same screen is better and it's also helpful that video calls can be used through a computer or other devices to keep the information screen available.

Cons

The graphic interface doesn't feel very user-friendly when compared with other online calling platforms and the Android version still needs a lot of improvement.

i rely on it

Pros

Having free conference call lines has been really useful especially when several people need to join from different places. Screen sharing is also very simple to use, as long as the broadband connection is strong enough.

Cons

I wish there were a pay-as-you-go option because paying the full webinar price for something I only use twice a year doesn't feel worth it. I've also run into issues when the broadband connection isn't strong enough. Also some of the default scheduling times are a little strange, for example, when setting up a conference call, it will default to tomorrow instead of today.

user friendly overall

Pros

Getting started with it is very simple and it includes the standard conference tools I need, like screen sharing and uploading documents during a meeting.

Cons

One limitation is that the meeting shuts down as soon as the host signs out. It would be helpful if there were a short grace period so less organized participants could still grab what they need.

had a decent experience

Pros

What I really appreciate is the responsive customer support, along with the ongoing improvements they keep making to the software.

Cons

At the moment, it doesn't include a take control option although I've been told that feature is expected to be released soon.

professional feel but frequent freezes

Pros

It did what I needed it to do and the overall experience felt polished and professional. Being able to name the meeting was a nice touch and the email notifications when a meeting starts were also helpful.

Cons

The app froze pretty often and it seems like there are simpler ways to video chat with people.

UI is great

Pros

The portal is simple and uncluttered so uploading PowerPoint presentations is easy and moving through slides during a meeting is quite hassle free. It's also very clear who has joined the call and when and customizing the automatic emails can be done really quickly.

Cons

I faced no issue with this tool!

so accessible

Pros

Connecting with potential clients is incredibly simple with this. They don't need Skype or any kind of installation at all. They just click the link and the conversation begins right away. It's especially helpful for speaking with people who are far away and walking them through pricing.

Cons

It is really impressive, i have no complaints

Good for meetings

Pros

Most people will probably use this just for meetings and for that it likely does the job well enough. I needed it for webinars though and that's where it felt limited. Still, for the usual meeting needs, it handles things reasonably well and gets the job done.

Cons

The interface feels a bit strange. It doesn't really make hosting any simpler and while that might be fine if you're only using it for regular meetings, it's not nearly as suitable when it comes to webinars.

Amazing tool

Pros

AnyMeeting works well for client training sessions especially when I need to bring in a larger group through email invites. One thing that really helps is that clients don't need to install any software which cuts down the setup time and makes it much quicker to get the meeting started with everyone connected.

Cons

The video quality isn't quite at the high-end level and there are stronger options out there if that matters a lot. Aside from that, the pricing can feel a bit high although there is a free version available.
