“familiar but inconsistent inbox”
Pros
Having used AOL for most of my life, I've always appreciated how user-friendly it is. It was actually the only email service I relied on until a few years ago, when I also started using Gmail.
Cons
One ongoing problem is with the inbox not updating for days at a time. Even when I keep refreshing, the messages still won't load. It doesn't happen constantly but the inconsistency makes it really frustrating.

“smart search is great”
Pros
Being able to sort emails into subfolders is probably my favorite part of using it. It keeps messages tied to the same topic or sender grouped together which makes everything feel much more organized. Because of that, it's a lot easier to go back and find older email threads and keep track of the full conversation. The search tool is also really helpful. I can type in keywords and quickly pull up the emails related to what I need without digging through everything manually. Another feature I appreciate is the spam filtering. AOL places suspicious messages into a separate folder so I can either delete unwanted content or move something into my inbox if it was filtered by mistake.
Cons
The part I don't enjoy is still getting junk email. Like with any email service, it's frustrating and takes extra time to clean out and remove those unwanted messages. But i guess that's standard, its a great tool otherwise!!

“fantastic support”
Pros
One of the best things is how much value it gives for the price. The customer support has been outstanding and the email organization and spam filtering have been better than anything else I've used. It really feels hard to beat. Getting started was completely simple and I haven't dealt with bugs or technical problems. The calendar integration has also been excellent.
Cons
At this point, I honestly haven't run into any problems. I've been using it for more than two years now and still don't have any downsides to mention.

“very easy to use”
Pros
The interface is very simple, with unread emails clearly highlighted and the option to label them which makes everything much more organized.
Cons
Something I don't appreciate is the decision to cap the email archive at around 15 GB which feels like a limitation they could have avoided.

“reliable inbox for everyday use”
Pros
It gives solid value especially since it's free and still covers the essentials without pushing you into paid upgrades just to handle basic email. The layout is simple so it doesn't take much time to get used to, even if you're not very comfortable with tech. One thing it does well is inbox organization. Folders, spam filtering and search all work reliably and make it easier to keep messages under control without adding unnecessary complexity. It's a good fit for anyone who prefers a more classic email setup and doesn't want a bunch of extra features getting in the way. Support isn't something you need often but when you do, the help articles and community forums are usually enough for common problems. Performance is also fairly dependable. There can be the occasional bug or slight loading delay but it doesn't happen often enough to seriously interrupt regular use. Overall, it's a steady, user-friendly email service that handles everyday needs consistently.

“simple overall”
Pros
Keeps things simple and that's exactly why I enjoy using it. It's simple, easy to navigate and doesn't feel cluttered. I honestly wish newer email platforms like Google and Outlook would stick to this kind of simple setup.
Cons
A lot of people dislike using AOL because it doesn't come with all the extra features you get with something like Google. Still, I personally prefer it that way because the simplicity is what makes it appealing to me.

“so good!”

AOL Mail has a certain nostalgic charm for me. It's one of the first things I think about whenever the internet comes to mind.

Too much spam still sometimes gets through though, there are plenty of ads and the advanced features are extremely limited.

“I recommend it!”
Pros
What I've always loved about it is that iconic voice notification that says "You've got mail" whenever a message comes in. That has easily been my favorite feature of the software for years.
Cons
One downside was how many pop-ups would show up at times. Other than that, its a great tool, no complaints!

Pros
The best parts is the low monthly cost. The calendar is simple to use and the platform is easy to navigate overall. It also comes with virus protection and a spam blocker which adds extra value.
Cons
There are quite a few ads and the spam blocker is not always reliable. But overall, no big cons!

“quite dependable”
Pros
After 15 years of using this account, I still haven't had any hacking issues. Having a backup contact also adds an extra layer of security which gives me real peace of mind.
Cons
Every now and then, junk mail still slips into my main inbox so sorting out what's legitimate and what isn't can get a bit tiring. That said, it's something I've seen with pretty much every email provider.

“I liked it”
Pros
So back when AOL was everywhere, I used it a lot and really appreciated the value for the price. The spam filtering worked well, the email marketing features were useful and I especially enjoyed spending time in the chat rooms.
Cons
These days, Gmail feels like the better option. This tool had its moment when it was hugely popular but it does not seem as relevant anymore.

“liked the unlimited storage”
Pros
Using it feels pretty simple since the layout is basic and very easy to move around in. It also works well with older devices which is really helpful. Having unlimited storage and getting it for free are definitely big advantages.
Cons
One downside is that since it's an older platform, it doesn't support fingerprint or facial recognition for login security. The security overall doesn't feel as strong as Gmail's and I also seem to get a lot more spam.
