After using Thinkific, I switched to Circle.

Pros

I really like It because it keeps everything organized in one place. It's awesome for chatting with my course students and also makes managing my videos and materials super easy.

Cons

I wish It had more flexibility with automation and more storage. Those were my initial concerns but after using it for a while, I really wish we could create multiple communities not just one. I'm also not a fan of the high transaction fees but I can deal with them as long as the features we need are there. Hopefully they'll address these issues down the line.

Circle helps us expand our community

Pros

This software made it so easy for us to build and grow a private community. We can add features whenever we need them and the customer support team is super quick to help when anything comes up although that doesn't happen often. I use it every day and love it.

Cons

There are a few limitations but overall the platform does exactly what we need.

Amazing experience with a third-party host!

Pros

We love how easy it is to create different spaces for each of our community interests. It's so simple to use and our members who usually struggle with new platforms, have adapted well. As a membership association this is a big win. We use it every day and member engagement is slowly improving.

Cons

Sometimes the functionality for contacting specific groups is limited but it's getting better. It'd be awesome if we could update our email addresses, though since our users sometimes get locked out or end up with duplicate accounts.

Community & course content together

Pros

After trying out a ton of different platforms, we switched to Circle to have both our course content and community in one place (instead of spread across social media and other platforms). It's perfect for both our team and customers giving them easy access to everything. They're always updating and we've been with It for over two years now and a lot of the features we were missing when we first joined are now here.

Cons

Honestly I've got no complaints to mention.

I prefer Circle over Slack

Pros

Communicating and keeping track of conversations is very easy with Circle. We switched from Slack and I love how much more functional It is.

Cons

It's annoying that repeating calendar events aren't easy to duplicate and they can't go beyond 52 occurrences (basically one year). Plus, there's no option for custom days like scheduling events every four days which is a downside.

Growing with Circle is easy

Pros

The most helpful things about circle are the engaged design community, smooth management and how easily it integrates with everything.

Cons

It doesn't support Arabic or right-to-left (rtl) languages and that's a real pain for me.

Perfect platform for launching a community

Pros

I love how user-friendly It is for both admins and users. It has all the tools we need to build a successful community.

Cons

I think they could improve the analytics but honestly there's nothing else I really dislike.

Pros

Cons

I'd love more formatting options for direct messages and workflows, breakout rooms in live spaces and the ability to reset user passwords.

Beyond what we expected

Pros

The integration from app to webpage is smooth. It's very easy for our community to access everything!

Cons

I'm absolutely loving my Circle community!

Pros

After nearly two years of struggling with MemberPress and BuddyBoss, I switched to Circle and wow, what a game-changer! Everything runs so smoothly now, it's almost unbelievable. I only wish I had found it sooner!

Cons

The only issue I had was migrating the member comments from my old site. Everything else has been smooth sailing.
